On Thursday, Dec. 3rd, CABBI researchers used a Sweco Separator to wash oilcane bagasse harvested from the Illinois Energy Farm in fall 2020. Immediately after the washing step, the material is dried and adjusted to the correct moisture levels; cleansing the biomass of lingering sugars optimizes performance in the fermentation and pretreatment phases that follow.
This procedure took place at the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory, and is part of CABBI’s 2020 oilcane harvest at the Illinois Energy Farm.

Description
This series of ball mill features of saving 30% energy and increasing capacity by 15-20%. It is widely used in fields of cement, silicate, new-type building material, refractory material, fertilizer, ore dressing of ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals, glass and ceramics and etc. This series can grind materials with both dry type and wet type. According to the ways of discharging materials, there are two kinds of ball mill: grid type and over-flow.

N.N.Zoubov Engineers SMCE centrifugal air classifiers are sizing machines that separate the fine and coarse particles comprising a dry, pulverised feed mixture.
They can be used in open circuit to obtain a specific particle size distribution of a product or even several products simultaneously: in that case, several air separators are used in tandem.
An important application is the dedusting of aggregates or concrete sand products to meet the desired specifications.
However, the air classifier really proves its worth in closed circuit grinding, where it becomes an integral part of the grinding system and governs the fineness and quality of the finished product. In closed-circuit, the entire mill output is fed to the air separator. The air classifier sorts out the fines which have attained the required fineness and the coarse product, or tailings, is returned to the grinding mill (together with new feed) for further reduction.
The procedure permits the mill to operate at its maximum efficiency and leaves to the separator, sizing of the required fines. The particle size distribution of the finished product is considerably improved by recirculation of particles in the mill, a reduction in loss of grinding media and wear on mill liners of up to 50 % has been noticed, as well as a decrease in the temperature in the mill.
In fact, a modern cement grinding unit, producing several types of cement, as well as fine specialty grades, is not conceivable without an air separator to regulate the quality of the finished product, as well as for the specific power consumption saving achieved.

Description
Pneumatic flotation machine is a combination of mechanical agitation and the pressured air from outside, and it is a form of using the impeller to mixing the slurry and dispersing bubble, with the required air provided by the external blower. It is a unit with two tanks back to back connection, which mainly composed of shell, impeller, cover plate, bell-shaped objective, recycling drum, main shaft, central drum and the main air-drum.
1>Structure characteristic: Without mechanical agitator, no driving parts;
2>Pneumatic characteristic: Air charge by the air-charging apparatus, and the size of bubble is adjusted by the aerator structure;
3>Mixed characteristic of bubble and slurry: Countercurrent mixing.
Application: To be handled the rougher flotation and scavenging for those ores who are simple structure, high-grade, and easy for flotation.
Flotation column structure is simple, small build-up area, easy maintenance, easy operation, and power-saving.
