Nine magnetic separators lined up at the highest level of the old ore-processing plant.
The raw product would come up on three belts and then separate into three chutes each and go into the nine machines. They would separate out the rocks and grit. The remaining ore went down through two lower levels for more processing before going up on another conveyor belt into a silo for rail shipment.
Stopped to admire the light coming through the trees and noticed the big tree in the center was a separator for the trees with the bright new leaves of Spring and the Tannenbaums (evergreens). So of course I had to take a photo!
Monochrome view of those big drums, which I think are ore grinders.
There are four washer drums on the level below these four grinder drums. But on the level above the grinders there are nine magnetic separators. The math doesn't quite add up evenly.
This is my second entry for the Join The Mission To Take Us From The Moon To Mars contest on Lego Ideas. It was a quick build, as I was missing many pieces to other displays at the time and took me about 2 hours to make.
Lots of distracting lighting, and creativity for the angle on an Alfa-Laval Cream Separator I did a "photoshoot" of. It was an exciting project for me!
Check out the set for more information and photos.
Somewhere out there in the Flickr-verse is someone who knows what all these relics are and who made them. That person is not me.
Oh sure, I can recognize the plows and disc harrows. I know what a separator does but the only name in sight is on the tractor. If that steel wheeled tractor did not say, Twin City on the radiator shell, I would not have a clue.
I may not know their stories but this field is my favorite collection in all of Sedgwick County. No doubt, it will get another visit in the fall, yet another in winter....
Got the big black separator few months back, but totally forgot about it. Since I read Simon's article on New Elementary about the LEGO Art The Sith set, I wanted to build something with it.
I was thinking about Space Jam and what should I build for it and the idea came almost instantly, the shape really gave me the alien vibe and here it is. Not a Space Jam entry though :D
Kitty would like to be friends with Big Cat in forest. So, she shares a fish with him.

"I'm going to destroy all with my Brick Separator!"
I see this Nobu_tary's Battle Suit than i have decided to try to make my personal battle suit.
Cockpit: flic.kr/p/26Khkz2
I have used the structure of my "The Separator", taken from an original idea made by Nobu_tary and now I'm trying to use the new cockpit, and this is probably only a WIP.
4 arms and a lot of weapons for a badass mech...
I really thought I was gonna miss Marchikoma this year, but I managed to build one just in time—and managed to use one of my favorite parts, the brick separator!
After "The Separator" i'm here with "The Snowmech", a perfect mecha for face the cool winter... yes... it has gloves

Ancient cemetery, olive grove, separator of civilization and desert, home of the lapsed-monotheists and pagans, ceremonial and ritual area, and ancient place of public stoning, all one mountain.

Grabie extra fine point acrylic markers on a cardboard separator from inside a box of canned cat food.
Hey! A dangerous villain is loose in LEGO CITY! The loathsome Separator has escaped from Bracket Pentientiary and will not rest until he makes all knobs and tubes come undone. No clutch power exists that is strong enough to resist the might of the separator pickaxe.
Only Minilander can stand up to this foe - the valiant one-pose-man fell into an unattended tub of adhesive long ago, rendering his chemically bonded elements inseparable. He alone has what it takes to put The Separator back behind 3.18s.

when summer vacation comes, this the time I miss my kitchen so much as well as you all !
have a good day!.
The real version separates bricks, but LEGO is so awesome that it actually unites people!
My final entry for Iron Forge using the trapezoid seed part. It was absolutely amazing and all of the builds that we all did for it are fantastic and I'm super happy to be part of it!
What ever this is appears to have been modified to string cable. The patents on the builder's plate in frame 3 seem to indicate this may have been a sand and gravel separator at some point in it's life with most patents falling in the late 20's and early 30's. Sort of implying that it has been modified and likely stripped of other parts. looks like it was towed and the wide wheels are just too cool.
Doesn't quack like one, though. Built for a LUG Brasil challenge (use a brick separator in a MOC). The beak is openable.
