The Siuslaw River Bridge spans the Siuslaw River in Florence. The bridge was designed by Conde McCullough and built in 1936.
I used kodak gelatin filters to make the goggles. Each eye was a vertical bi-focal, normally glasses are horizontal bi-focals. Each eye had a green filter on the inside, nose side. One eye had a red filter on the outside, the other had a blue filter on the outside, ear side. If you buy red, blue or green sunglasses from a sidewalk vendor or store and look at the passing light through a spectrometer you will see that the red glasses will allow green light to pass, green glasses will let red and blue light pass and blue glasses will let green and red light pass. They are not even close to perfect color separations. These filters I found, Kodak 92 Red, 93 green, 94 blue are perfect color separations. So on the goggles, the eye with the blue filter is completely void of red light, the brain is getting no signal from the low wavelength receptors in that eye and has to receive low wavelength light from the other eye, visa versa for the eye with the red filter. I have worn the goggles for hours at a time and the colors actually start to blend after a while.
