This little guy is my Gram's cat that was taken in as a stray. He wanted nothing more than to follow me on my photo adventure but the snow was about as tall as he is, so he would go as far as he could through tire tracks and foot prints. When he couldn't reach me, he gave me this darling little look.

The humpbacked bridge at Carrowholly is no more, washed away by the massive tidal surge on Thursday night/Friday morning. Tide was way over 6m, and strong gale-force winds! All the low-lying areas of Carrowholly are under water.

“If money is the bond binding me to human life, binding society to me, connecting me with nature and man, is not money the bond of all bonds? Can it not dissolve and bind all ties? Is it not, therefore, also the universal agent of separation?”

I was bored on the 4 hour drive from Victoria to Campbell River, so I took a few snaps through the side window of my mum’s car whilst going about 120 km/h (75mph).

i think it created kind of a cool effect. blurry streakiness on the edges.

such art :P

Even though I come up with the titles for Picture This (that link goes to last week's project), I almost never have an idea for a photo until much time has passed since the title announcement. This notion came to me on the way to something else, which didn't work at all the way I wanted it to. Also, I dreamed of the whole thing being a series, but if that ever actually happens it's not going to be today.

I'm really quite pleased with this; not the photo itself, which I can take or leave, but the title and the photo together. Which is, really, the point of the project for me. So I'm happy. :-)
