Education – a human right!
According to the UN child convention every child around the world should have access to free primary education.
Star of Hope is working hard to educate as many children as possible in the countries we are working. Every day many thousands children learn to read, count, write and much more in our projects around the world. Star of Hope is running and support about 200 schools all together.
Education reduces poverty. To give children access to proper education is one of the most important basic conditions to give children the opportunity to get out of poverty and misery.
Do you want to know more about Star of Hope or to support our work, please go to www.starofhope.org or www.starofhopeusa.org or send e-mail to info@starofhope.org now. Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something.

Back in 1994, when I went to the GMTS Spring Transport Festival, I bought three pads of forms...two of which were Greater Manchester Transport. I no longer have the pads but, before I got shut of them, I detached a page from each for posterity and this is one of them.
It's a Form 521 from December 1979 and would have been used for either filing a report or sending a memo and I don't think Ron Barton (a driver from Queens Road Garage at the time) HAS one of these in his collection which is surprising, given his reputation for filtching ephemera out of rubbish bins.
Maj. Gen. Daryl Bohac, Nebraska adjutant general, gives his coin to Maj. Gregory Veys, commander of the 179th Cyber Protection Team during the unit’s send-off ceremony. Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts and Bohac shared words of support and encouragement to the Nebraska Army National Guard's 179th Cyber Protection Team, Dec. 3, 2019, in the Nebraska State Capitol rotunda, to mark the beginning of the unit’s first deployment. Formed in October 2017, the cyber protection team now consists of 19 Army National Guard Soldiers – 11 from Nebraska and the rest from the Missouri and Arkansas National Guard. They will deploy for one year to the U.S. National Capitol Region and serve in support of U.S. Cyber Command. (Nebraska National Guard photo by Maj. Scott Ingalsbe)
LOWELL, Mass. - A send off ceremony was held for approximately 160 Massachusetts National Guardsmen from the 1060th Transportation Company, preparing to deploy to Kuwait in support of Operation Spartan Shield. Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker, Maj. Gen. L. Scott Rice, the Adjutant General for the Massachusetts National Guard, along with other distinguished guests spoke during the ceremony.
It's appropriate that a wedding on July 3 involved sparklers. My fear of sparklers is as acute as it was as a child, so I took pictures instead.
Thirty-four Soldiers with the Nebraska Army National Guard’s Company G, 2-104th General Support Aviation Battalion, gathered together, June 17, 2020, for a pre-deployment send-off ceremony at Army Aviation Support Facility No. 1 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Soldiers of Golf Company will provide MEDEVAC support in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility during the upcoming deployment. (Nebraska National Guard photo by Pfc. Skyler Schendt)
