Miss Jones had just given her second-grade students a science lesson. She had explained about magnets, and showed how they would pick up nails and other bits of iron. Now it was question time. Miss Jones said, "My name begins with the letter 'M' and I pick up things. What am I?" A little boy in the front row proudly said, "You're a mother!---------------------------------SelfStudy Education Requirements for Policy AgentsStudent And Examination JokesSchool And Student JokesTeacher: What's the past participle of the verb "to ring?"Student: What do you think, sir?Teacher: I don't think. "wind swept", the Docks, Liverpool

This is the first head I've attempted to create in a 3D program. I started out with SculptGL (free Browser programm), creating the 'face' itself and then transfered the file into Blender to do some fine-tuning (like emptying out the inside, adding neck-, string- and magnet hole etc.).

He's now at a stage I consider him complete and I'm rather proud of his finished version.

In Greek mythology, Chimera (Greek Χίμαιρα (Chímaira); Latin Chimaera) was a monstrous fire-breathing female creature of Lycia in Asia Minor, composed of the parts of multiple animals: upon the body of a male lion with a tail that ended in a snake's head, the head of a goat arose on her back at the center of her spine. Chimera was one of the offspring of Typhon and Echidna and a sibling of such monsters as Cerberus and the Lernaean Hydra. The term chimera has also come to mean, more generally, an impossible or foolish fantasy, hard to believe.

(Definition from Wikipedia)

I guess we are all familiar with the term and its use in everyday life. At least once in our lives we 've chased Chimeras. Some of us still do...

Day two was much easier. Messeplatz in Basel was a good spot. This picture was selected from around 3-4 "finalists".

Continuing my self portraits from yesterday (7/9/06). I spent the afternoon snapping photos of myself (I know...how vain.....) as a self-reflective study. (c:

I came out with loads of postable images. I tried different body positions and concentrated on the use of space around me. I'll post a sample of them over the next few days.

Apparently, my last photo represented my "I'm gonna kick your butt" face....not sure what this one represents but it is at least less aggressive!
