A spring walk on the beach of the Limfjord, Denmark.

It's low tide, the bottom of the fjord becomes visible. The waves have left their marks, like every intense event in life...

Photo captured via the HDR methods of photography at the 2nd vista point on eastbound Highway 299 near the Hatchet Mt. Summit, at 4368 feet above sea level. Shasta County. On the last day of December 2012.

Be back soon (but thankfully not too soon...)

Photo captured in Big Sur at Garrapata State Park. Monterey County. Late February 2013.

My second photo collage. I created it for Amy Burvall's Google+ Community, LearningListeningLoving. The collage is an artefact that helps us make our reflection visible (accountable).

Photo captured on U.S. Highway 97, the Dalles-California Highway, in Klamath County. State of Oregon. "State of Jefferson." Late February 2013.

A photo serioes of self portraits taken by my friend Nick Larson. This is a depiction and representation of diving deeper into myself. A conceptual thought process of who I am.

Photo captured from a meadow a few miles north of the town of Anchor Bay. Mendocino County. Late March 2013.

We do an exercise in our program that involves the young women decorating envelopes and then writing notes of appreciation for everyone in the group. Given a manila envelope and some neato and basic-colored paint pens, this is what I came up with in about 15 minutes.

The front features a pretty calligraphic E and I was just taken with swirls that day. I wanted to infuse myself with color and movement. Orange is a color I wear when I am feeling courageous and daring. Grounded with the green and then surrounded by the thoughtful and spiritual swirls of blue, there is an inspirational or other-worldly whorl of yellow that is beginning to break through my spiritual blue swirl layer.

Trying to work with corners and reflections. No one else to amuse me so engaging with the self.

a lot of detail and tonal range has been lost because this is a jpeg...haven't paid for pro so i'm conserving space :-$

Does the fear of being wrong make honesty harder? In this short, reflective monologue, Sindy explores how permanence, visibility, and public judgment can cause honesty to hesitate. When being wrong feels costly, truth can become cautious—or disappear entirely.

A calm reflection on vulnerability, honesty, and emotional risk in modern life.

SCRIPT:

Being wrong used to be temporary.

You said something.

You adjusted.

You moved on.

Now it can feel permanent.

Statements linger.

Screenshots exist.

Context disappears.

And so honesty starts to hesitate.

Not because we don’t have thoughts,

but because we’re unsure

which version of them

is safe enough to say out loud.

We soften language.

We add disclaimers.

We stay vague—

not to deceive,

but to avoid being wrong

in public.

But honesty doesn’t always arrive

fully formed.

Sometimes it needs room

to be incomplete,

revisable,

human.

And when fear closes that space,

silence can start to feel

more responsible

than truth.

A middle-aged man with gray hair and a beard stands with arms crossed

There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are. She said, 'cause He made you perfect, babe. So hold your head up, girl and you you'll go far. Listen to me when I say. I'm beautiful in my way 'Cause God makes no mistakes. I'm on the right track, baby. I was born this way. Don't hide yourself in regret. Just love yourself and you're set...

The second version of my photo first collage ever! I created it for Amy Burvall's Google+ Community, LearningListeningLoving. The collage is an artefact that helps us make our reflection visible (accountable).

Revisiting my blue metal sign for another another go at reflected self-portraits.

Sitting in the car looking at a bug on the window. Should have taken a photo of that instead but it flew off leaving me and the fuzzy dice to ponder life's ultimate meaning.
