My friend Adeline lives in L.A, California now. Her dream has come true. And at the time she was hoping for a miracle, i went to see her in Le Havre. This picture represents quite well her kindness and her determination i think.

Day 8.

Today I feel like reflecting... yet on what I do not know. Perhaps the words of "The Jabberwocky"... oh yes I do think so...

"Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!

The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!

Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun

The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:

Long time the manxome foe he sought—

So rested he by the Tumtum tree,

And stood awhile in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,

The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,

Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,

And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! and through and through

The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!

He left it dead, and with its head

He went galumphing back.

"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?

Come to my arms, my beamish boy!

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"

He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe."

This is not smoke, yet strangely it appears as though it is like smoke; but this image means more than this.

This is pure light; reflected light.

This is essentially a photograph in its purest form. Light and nothing else. It has no meaning beyond the very nature that it is what it is: light recorded on film.

It was found not in a distant or exotic place, but in the comfort of my living room. I never saw it before. Now I see and I am satisfied by the awareness that comes with it.
