We do an exercise in our program that involves the young women decorating envelopes and then writing notes of appreciation for everyone in the group. Given a manila envelope and some neato and basic-colored paint pens, this is what I came up with in about 15 minutes.

I wanted to illustrate it to meditate on those things I wish to bring to my life more intentionally.

Been a draining few weeks. Grateful for a lot. This dude - my best friend, who happens to be my youngest brother. Also grateful for good times & good vibes I've been lucky to have been exposed to in the weeks. It was needed more than I want to share.

She is probably reflecting the wonderful moments that she have had during this excursion.

Do you see the photographer? :)

The idea of being lonely, however looking at yourself as a refection of who you have become.

Enter the Funnel

From the smog in our breath,

With each footstep, there is a ghost,

Where light is the intruder, scarce and unwelcome.

This is my artificial cocoon,

My womb of obscurity,

Lost under the weight of unfulfilled potential

And everything is hauntingly beautiful.

As we continually inch forward.

Composed this picture whilst attempting to answer the very purpose of unprecedented challenges in life. The new avenues and opportunities that is waiting to reveal is often ignored without such challenges. The bursting rays reminded the saying " Every cloud has a silver lining"

DAY 027/365: "Self-reflection"

“To shelf perfection, just ‘cause someone else inspectin’,

Differs from what swells rejection, to reflect their self on your self-reflection?”

What do you see when you look at yourself in the mirror? Does your self-reflection trigger a stream of negativity or does it ignite a river of positivity? Or perhaps a mix of both? Whatever your case may be, just remember… Your self-thoughts should not be influenced by the thoughts of others. Someone else has no right or authority to calculate your worth & value unless you freely give them permission. You know what Eleanor Roosevelt use to say back in the day… Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent.

In memory of the Mirror Project.

Attempt at a self Portrait. I like to take pictures of people and not be in them. For once I decided to not hide behind the camera.

A small but meaningful part of my personal wellness and introspective journey. The Toque F7, a highly stabilized 7th-generation isolate of Psilocybe cubensis, reminds me to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with a sense of wonder. For me, the experience is less about escape and more about gratitude, healing, self-exploration, and feeling connected to the larger tapestry of life and the cosmos. ✨🍄🌌

Colorado Proposition 122, also known as the Natural Medicine Health Act, is a voter-approved state statute that decriminalizes the personal use and possession of specific natural psychedelic substances for adults 21 and older, while setting up a framework for state-regulated therapeutic healing centers.

Psilocybe cubensis is a species of psychedelic mushroom that naturally contains the psychoactive compounds psilocybin and psilocin. It is the most widely known and commonly cultivated psychedelic mushroom in the world.

Key Characteristics

Golden to caramel-colored cap when mature.

White stem that often bruises blue when handled, indicating oxidation of psilocin compounds.

Naturally grows in tropical and subtropical regions, often in nutrient-rich grasslands and pastures.

Produces dark purple-brown spores.

Effects

The effects vary with dose, individual sensitivity, and setting, but commonly include:

Altered perception of time and space

Enhanced colors and patterns

Emotional introspection

Feelings of connection with nature or the universe

Spiritual or mystical experiences

Increased creativity and insight

Higher doses may produce:

Intense visual phenomena

Ego dissolution (temporary loss of sense of self)

Profound emotional experiences

Challenging experiences involving anxiety or fear

Common Varieties (Cultivars)

Many popular strains are cultivars of Psilocybe cubensis, including:

Golden Teacher

Penis Envy

Toque F7

True Albino Teacher

Stormtrooper

These are all P. cubensis varieties, though they can differ in appearance, growth characteristics, and perceived potency.

Scientific Interest

Research from institutions such as Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research and Imperial College London Centre for Psychedelic Research has explored psilocybin's potential for treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and end-of-life distress under controlled clinical conditions.

Taxonomy

Kingdom: Fungi

Phylum: Basidiomycota

Genus: Psilocybe

Species: Psilocybe cubensis

In simple terms, Psilocybe cubensis is the species name, while names like Golden Teacher, Toque F7, and Penis Envy are different cultivated varieties within that species—similar to how different breeds belong to the same species of animal. 🍄🌌

"Dive" by Chelsea Lynn Winter

💫💫💫💫💫

This piece was inspired by my feelings of self-reflection. Sometimes, I have to dive deep and reflect on the darker parts of myself. This process will always benefit my healing and growth. I may not have PTSD anymore, but it does not hurt to keep working on things and to keep improving. Stagnation and stubbornness to change removes the opportunity for positivity. To truly find inner peace, you must look within yourself.

💫💫💫💫💫

This piece is part of my art therapy series. To better express my symptoms and emotions, I create based on what I am feeling. This started off as a tool for release and explanation but has now become a regular form of expression. Please feel free to use any of the pieces from this series as a way to help express how you are feeling. This could be a tool for you and your therapist, or simply to show a friend or family member. Please remember that mental health is important.

Reflection at Exodus begin

Is fairness defined by the rules—or by how things turn out?

In this short, reflective monologue, Sindy explores the tension between fair processes and unequal outcomes. When systems follow the rules but results feel uneven, fairness becomes harder to define—and harder to feel.

A calm reflection on fairness, systems, and lived experience in modern life.

SCRIPT:

We often defend fairness

by pointing to the process.

The rules were clear.

The steps were followed.

Everyone played by the same system.

And sometimes, that’s enough.

But when results feel lopsided,

process alone can sound distant—

even cold.

Because fairness isn’t experienced

in theory.

It’s felt at the end,

where effort meets consequence.

A fair process can still produce

outcomes that feel harsh,

or uneven,

depending on who had room to fail

and who didn’t.

So the question isn’t

whether the rules were fair.

It’s whether fairness

means being treated the same—

or being affected the same

when things don’t go as planned.
