I think I'm starting at get a cold. Today I was kind of tired because of it. I hope tomorrow will go better.
My cousin Anna inspired me with her awesome french manicure. I can never seem to grow my nails long so thought I'd give it a try for my big day out in the CITY~!
(They have a pale peach nail polish, simple is best right...for the first try anyway!!)
I had set out to take a totally different, way more up-beat self potrait. and then I took this instead. Go figure.

salt and almond on my tongue and the sound of breaking baltic surf, echoing footsteps climb higher in brick bound towers, cramped beneath dials and armory we wait for clear skies, voices on the autobahn lose lyrics to find words, we are lessened but still good.

My day was good. It was hot outside so I stayed in for most of the day. I'm going to the fair tomorrow!
We were just into routine Friday night shooting when there was a knock on the door and various people walking through.
Among them was America's Next Top Model....
We've covered her mouth because her smile would blind you.

still not comfortable with being infront of the camera. there was about 20 shots rejected before i picked this one.
First try using strobes...not my best look - could do with a shave and some skin smoothing!
Boy, is it hard to do self-portraits - lots of walking, chimping and frustration!...and not to forget getting something to manual focus on before setting the self-timer, i.e., a post-it note stuck on a folder, perched on a step ladder lol!!!

PP - just levels and sharpening.
I retouch faces for money and felt like doing it to my own face for art. I don't think I am skilled enough to "fix" my left eye, though.
