Be Your Own Beloved: self-care policies, Day 4. Simple moments - find a moment to savour a bit of self-care today ... done! Today I bought a used story book for $1. It was so enthralling that I missed my bus stop, and only realized 3-4 stops later. I got off here, and decided to keep reading in the sun for a while. If I wasn't hungry, I might have stayed until the very last page :)

These are all from the Love Letters to Yourself event on September 7th. We had an amazing turnout and were so happy with how big the mural was by the end of our stay! We cannot wait to watch it grow more and more with each upcoming event!

The truth of today is that I am at an end, and a beginning in my life. I lost so much in the last five years (since becoming disabled by severe neuropathic pain, etc), but I have also grown into someone far more beautiful than I would ever have been without this transformative experience. And now that I have worked through my grief, depression and even re-faced old life traumas, and now (following one of the worst health years of my life) , I have settled into the best routine/health that I have available to me at this time, and I am ready to move on. As J.K. Rowling said, "And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I (am rebuilding) my life". So here's to my big dreams, my wishes, my fantasies and dreams - here's to seeing how many of them I can attain regardless of the imitations holding me back. Here's to making a better life, in which I am abundant in the simple pleasures, and no longer need to worry about survival - Here's to new beginnings.
