I continued packing most of the day, stopped to do a St. Patrick's Day Photo Session, and then realized the cable modem had DIED!!! Did not get things fixed up until today. Sorry so late....
Hope ya'll had a great St. Patrick's Day.
This photograph is from the Robert Hope collection.
Robert Hope was a resident of Newcastle upon Tyne. In the early 1970s he took out a bank loan to buy a Rolleiflex camera.
Over the next few years he photographed various Newcastle scenes, including the Grainger Market and the demolition of housing estates in the West End of the city.
Robert Hope died in 2001.
Thanks to Steven Hope for donating the collection to Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums.

Dec 1924. A group of blind people in various costumes (shepherds and angels) in a yard beside some large corrugated iron buildings. The photo is asociated with the photos of visits to Sunderland Museum by Sunderland Council School for the Blind, this will be a nativity play they were in.
“To them, their fingers are eyes”
From 1913, John Alfred Charlton Deas, a former curator at Sunderland Museum, organised several handling sessions for the blind, first offering an invitation to the children from the Sunderland Council Blind School, to handle a few of the collections at Sunderland Museum, which was ‘eagerly accepted’.

SLD #385-404. These tables from The Sunspot (#399) are nice basics that are nonetheless not bland. I'm one of those folks who don't understand why people put bathrooms in their houses in SL if it isn't for sex, but Roberta Topaz Desi's (#390) set, including bathtub, curtains, candles, side table, and rug, is so nice that it makes all sorts of things more clear. Who doesn't want a little bonsai tree like this one from Vextra Messing (#404)? As for that weird spacey test tube thing on the table, it's an avatar tracker from Trinity Vanmoer (#402). You'll have to read the instructions included; I haven't been able to figure out what's different between it and just seeing when your friends are online.
If you're new to viewing this series of pics, here's what it's all about: I'm a hunt addict, and when I unpack, I do approximately 20 at a time to see what kind of random combinations of gifts end up together. Items I unpack later replace items I unpack earlier, both on my body (as much as can fit) and on the ground (up to 50 prims rezzed at once). And I can't help throwing in some commentary.

Shot just before I began to pack up my mask collection. I have handmade papier mache masks from Venice, masks from New Orleans, and handmade ones from Atlanta to New Mexico to Seattle.
And a radiant smile.

I wanted to document our fun trekking out in the snow today so I could get some shots of the Korean War Memorial in the snow. I have had that idea since last winter and today's snow was the first time it was not too bad to get out in it. We had to avoid the bad drivers and accidents (5 on the way there and we were 5 inches from being in one ourselves). Boy, was my stomach twisted for a bit. And this was all on the way to the Mall. Anyway, we had fun, got some shots, and got snowed on. Happy Sunday everyone!!!
