A newly sentient mannequin asserts a masculine identity by inscribing "macho" across its chest. Framed behind rusted bars and a broken window, it contemplates a world where self-determination may come at the cost of acceptance. Drawing parallels with the contemporary experiences of many LGBTQ+ individuals, the work examines identity not as something assigned by others, but as an intrinsic truth that deserves recognition and the freedom to exist openly.
