Hopelessly adrift
In the eyes of the ghost again
Down on my knees
And my hands in the air again
Pushing my face in the memory of you again
But I never know if it's real
Never know how I wanted to feel
View on black, at your own risk...
Very few self-portraits of me exist out there. I don't like being in front of the camera. I'm trying to change that.
This is the first shot using my new Beauty Dish. It gave a nice soft light for the strobes. I'm sure you'll see more from my studio setup soon.
The hat has a story behind it, which is why I decided to wear it, and go Hollywood glam.
I passed my driving test... on my first go! No idea how, but I am a very happy bunny. To celebrate, I watched Coco Avant Chanel at the cinema. 'Twas so elegant and gorgeously filmed, and Audrey Tautou is just ridiculously beautiful :)
A five inch tall figurine of Norman Rockwell's "Triple Self Portrait" at the Cooperville Farm Museum. This one was made in the 1990's.
Thanks for views, comments and favs :)
SELF DISCIPLINE BEGINS WITH THE MASTERY OF YOUR THOUGHTS. IF YOU DON'T CONTROL WHAT YOU THINK, YOU CAN'T CONTROL WHAT YOU DO.

I have posted another version of this self portrait long time ago and decided to upload this one after doing some minor editing. This was taken in Islamabad during a blackout and the source of lighting was just an emergency light. I used tripod and remote control for this capture

I hate mondays!

I needed a self portrait. (:
Dunno what's up with the head tilt.
Or weird smile.
But eh.
Grr I look so nasty.
I hate it. D:<
A crop from the last image on a roll of Rollei Superpan 200 through a Zeiss Ikon Nettar. through lack of research, the film's strong contrast caught me by surprise; in some images it works surprisingly well, and, having reduced the contrast a touch, the sharply detailed nature of the film works pleasingly.
The framing of this shot is a little off, though not so much as it was before the crop; however, I like the fragmented reflections in the window panes, combined with the vine, so severely pruned, to the left, and plant pot.
Woodstock, November 2020, Zeiss Ikon Nettar, Superpan 200, ID-11 stock.
If you like my photographs, why not consider buying a print at captures.life? I haven't yet finished building the site and putting in all of the terms and conditions and policies, but the bits that involve buying a print, having it delivered, and contacting me if anything isn't working or goes wrong are functioning just fine...
