We had another lovely day and the Dragon was out in the garden, stalking birds and annoying other cats. He is a very self-confident cat, often too self-confident for his own good and I constantly have to keep an eye on him when he is outside to make sure that he doesn't get into trouble.
It was a rather boring day for the boys as it was cloudy, windy and cold most of the time. In the late afternoon the sun finally came out and the boys could enjoy some outdoor time. The neighbour's dogs were out too which doesn't bother Fynn at all but usually worries Linus quite a lot. Had he been alone he would have hidden somewhere but whenever Fynn is around he is more self-confident. He still keeps a close eye on the dogs, though.
‘Ecce Homo’ means “Behold the man” and originally comes from the Gospel of John (John 19:5) in the New Testament. These words were spoken by Pontius Pilate when he showed Jesus to the crowd after the scourging and crowning with thorns. In a Christian context, the phrase often symbolises human suffering and vulnerability.
Other meanings and interpretations:
Friedrich Nietzsche: The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche used ‘Ecce Homo’ as the title of his autobiographical writing (Ecce Homo: Wie man wird, was man ist), in which he takes a critical look at himself and his philosophical development. Nietzsche plays with the religious context of the term and self-confidently presents himself as a ‘human being’ who scrutinises his own existence and ideals.
Art and culture: The term ‘Ecce Homo’ is often used in the visual arts to depict Jesus in moments of suffering. Numerous artists have painted scenes under this title that express the humanity and suffering of Jesus.
In both cases, ‘Ecce Homo’ refers to a deeper reflection on human nature, vulnerability and identity - be it in a religious, artistic or philosophical context.

It's long overdue to post a pic of my favourite animal - the cat.
Today I visited a fleemarket and on this magical place I saw this self-confident cat that was not to distribute.We humans had finally entered their area of life.
She has so right....

Hello everybody and thank you for the kind words and visits on my last Lizard picture.
Today, I've got a new shot, but this one is a bit different.
It was taken during summer by a dear friend of mine, who chose the pseudo Corvus Album. He hasn't ever posted pictures on a Flickr gallery, but I thought I had to share this wonderful image from him !
As a beginner photographer, he doesn't have any self-confidence and doesn't see the real potential that he has for Photography.

Aujourd'hui, je vous présente une nouvelle photo, un peu différente cette fois :
Elle a été prise cet été par un très bon ami, qui a choisi le pseudo Corvus Album pour signer cette photo. Il n'a jamais partagé de photographies sur Flickr, mais j'avais très envie de vous faire partager cette image que je trouve fantastique !
En tant que photographe débutant, il n'a aucune confiance en lui et ne se rend pas compte du potentiel qu'il détient dans la photographie.

This rather large and self-confident seagull caught my attention as I was looking around the fishing boats on the beach.
In the PMV bus on the way to the highlands getting a thumbs up from the fair collector. This is the best way of covering distance on a budget but knowing the bus fair and being self confident is the recipe for a more comfortable ride. At bus stops you have a driver and this guy who permanently screams the destination of the bus and occasionally/ often goes to potential customers trying to convince them to take this bus over the other, which sometimes can look like him taking their bags and just putting them on the bus. On this occasion we left just a third full as the driver got told the next village has people waiting to go, no one was there so we returned and waited for another 2 hours in order for the bus to fill till the last seat. On our way up to Kundiawa we experienced washed out roads, where on one occasion we had to pull the bus up a slope on a metal chain and soon after we were held up by Rascol's demanding money. They were happy with 5kina, enough for another beer but an interesting moment none the less.
This is somewhere near 12 mile just out of Lae, Papua New Guinea.

I found this very self-confident looking frog in the Zoo of Frankfurt/Germany. He was sitting in a tree and didn´t care too much when I was taking pictures of him. Everytime I am upset, I take a look at this frog and realize that I have to calm down because he looks so even-tempered....

I've been on an endless search for a taxidermy deer head (and for a bargain, of course). Finally found this creature at the swap meet last week and made him mine for just $60. :)
I haven't shot a self-portrait in quite some time, and I feel very rusty at it. I’m a pretty self-confident person usually, but I haven't felt photogenic in ages. I'm out of shape, I lack a feasible hairstyle, and I find it easier to "act sexy" when I'm covered in fake blood or posing with skulls. I had a precise idea in mind when going into this shoot, and I took almost 500 photos (seriously) trying to get it. After almost two hours of shooting and not being happy with the way I was looking, I was ready to just call it in and try again another day. Shaking my hair back and forth was really just out of frustration, and I somehow managed to get this magical shot in the end.

Altes Museum (English: Old Museum) is a listed building on Museum Island in the historic centre of Berlin. Built from 1825 to 1830 by order of King Frederick William III of Prussia according to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, it is considered a major work of German neoclassical architecture.
The idea of the museum dates back to Germany's bourgeoisie becoming increasingly self-aware and self-confident in the early nineteenth century, It began to embrace new ideas regarding the relationship between itself and the arts, and the concepts that art should be open to the public and that citizens should have access to a comprehensive cultural education began to permeate society. King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia was a strong proponent of this Humboldtian ideal of education and charged Karl Friedrich Schinkel with planning a public museum for the royal art collection.
Schinkel's plans for the Königliches (Royal) Museum, as it was then known, were also influenced by drafts of the crown prince, later King Friedrich Wilhelm IV, who desired a building that was heavily influenced by antiquity. The crown prince even sent Schinkel a pencil sketch of a large hall adorned with a classical portico.
Schinkel's plans incorporated the Königliches Museum into an ensemble of buildings which surround the Berliner Lustgarten (pleasure garden). The Stadtschloss in the south was a symbol of worldly power, the Zeughaus in the west represented military might, and the Berliner Dom in the east was the embodiment of divine authority. The museum to the north of the garden, which was to provide for the education of the people stood as a symbol for science and art.
The Altes Museum was originally constructed to house all of the city's collections of fine arts, including paintings, prints and drawings. However, since 1904, the museum has solely housed the Antikensammlung (Collection of Classical Antiquities).
