The yellow-billed stork (Mycteria ibis), sometimes also called the wood stork or wood ibis, is a large African wading stork species in the family Ciconiidae. It is widespread in regions south of the Sahara.
The Yellow-billed Stork is a large stork with pinkish grey-white plumage and black flight-feathers and tail. The long neck is greyish-white.
In breeding plumage, it has naked red facial skin, extending beyond the eyes. Wing-coverts and back are tinged pink.
The long, bright yellow bill is thick at the base and slightly curved at tip. The eyes are dark brown. Long legs and feet are pink.
Male and female have similar plumage, but the male is slightly larger.
This beautiful Stork was captured during a photography safari on a late afternoon game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tanzania.

Every now and then I walk through a botanical gardens or a horticultural conservatory and I find something that I've never seen before. This was today's find... with colors as rich as you see here, how could I pass this one by?
I had seen some photos of this creek from 8-10 years ago, with big mossy rocks in the middle of the creek in the flat area downstream. This year, I scouted out and found what I thought was the scene of many of these shots, but apparently the fires burned up a lot of the moss in the stream. Instead, I found this cascade just a little below the main drop.
It took my way longer to find this place than I'd like to admit, but I got to see some BEAUTIFUL country as a result. I do not regret it.
There was a small break in the sky, but not anywhere near the horizon. No sunrise for me, but I'll take it. As I was shooting this, two deer were hanging around checking me out. I could not have asked for a better moment than I had as the rain began to come down again and the wind was the only thing I could hear.

I have practiced yoga for almost 20 years, and it does help.
It was worth seeking out the quirky 'The Hideaway' pub at Shanklin, as a few steps away is this lovely view towards Bembridge Point, the most easterly part of the Isle of Wight.
Two deer seek the shelter of a tree from the rain.
This was taken at Miyajima (Literally: Shrine island) near Hiroshima is considered a sacred island to the Shinto religion and is home to Itsukushima one of Japans most famous Shinto shrines.
The O-Torii, or Grand Gateway, at Miyajima Island is a classic and beloved icon of Japan. This grand wooden gateway, sits on tidal flats. At low tide people can walk out to it. During high tide boats can row past it.
Whining for attention.

si, efectivamente, encontre este lugar buscando un poco de fe, haciendo el camino de Santiago por su vertiente portuguesa, (eso si, yo estaba currando y no caminando) hice una parada para descubrir un paraje verdaderamente encantador, un lugar que me cautivo en el mismo momento que lo vi, las cascadas del rio Barosa, lugar que posiblemente muchos peregrinos visitan, pero con eso que tienen todavia que seguir andando, no se paran a contemplarlo como merece, bueno pues yo me pare, y esto es lo que vi, buscando un poco de fe encontre el paraiso.
Por cierto, no se os ocurra intentar subir por ahi con zapatos, lo mas normal es que resbales y caigas, lo digo por experiencia....

I was at the Botanical Gardens in Dublin this past Sunday - what a beautiful and fantastic place! I would totally recommend it to all nature lovers.
I spotted this guy as I was parking the car! I love the springlike quality to this one.
Someplace up ahead would be the mythical 'Crossroads' as the Shaman said. The place where Time and Death for a brief period, shared the same space as the Waking World. It doesn't always appear at the same time, but it was there.
