This is just to the right of where I photographed the video crew (for those of you who do not live in L.A.). The guys in the suits are probably security, but the suits make them look like they are Secret Service agents. When I took the photo it was way too early for audiences to be allowed into the theater. Since I don't come by here very often, I have no idea when the audience gathers to be let in. But if you are a Jimmy Kimmel fan, this is the place where he does his show.

Street photography -- a security guard on Broadway outside Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles.
Cebu is covered in my new book Queen of the South. It contains 66 B&W-photographs of natural beauty, grungy cities and interesting people in the Visayas in the Philippines.
Queen of the South is sold at cost price with a small mark-up. The mark-up will benefit in full some of the slum dwellers featured in the book and in this set.
Instead of my vanity project, you can also sponsor these people directly via Action for Nurturing Children and Environment, Inc. (Philippines) or their German sponsors Kinder in Not.
Incidentally, he is my apartment's security guard :)

From this shot, you might have thought that this place was fairly quiet considering there was only a guard but honestly the Agra Fort was packed with tourists. I have to wait for that precious few seconds for everyone to clear. I am sure ppl are wondering why is this guy (me!) hanging around the same spot all the time? Creepy lol!

Chinese security guard keeps watch over the Bird's Nest Stadium in Olympic Green in northern Beijing, which is shrouded in a heavy cloud of pollution.
An evening of idiots masquerading as security guards in London's Canary Wharf with Neil Rushby. Some of the security were very nice and polite but two in particular were complete assholes! Asshole No.1 tried to insist we use safety cones around our tripods for health and safety reasons and Asshole No.2 walked past us and locked us behind a security gate (with no warning). Asshole No.2 also gave my son grief too, not happy! Despite that we had a great evening's walkabout with plenty of shots in the bag.
