Do you like the Strangeways area of Manchester? Answer in comments.

Have you ever bought wholesale clothing from "J.R. Hosiery & Co. Ltd. Knitwear & T. Shirts, Stockists of Casamia, Avant Garde, Jupiter"? Sound off in comments!

"J.R. Hosiery & Co." implies that the company was founded by a person named J.R. Hosiery.

Wow that is a very lushly planted area, there at the right.

We are filmed every day on the streets, in our offices. Two Dutch artists came up with the idea to make this visible, during a walk in Brussels. They made a simple receiver, to show the participants which images where captured of them. And they came up with a simple idea to fool a security cam. More info? bit.ly/riNWWj

Nowhere is sacred.

Saw this on the outer wall of Te Papa, New Zealand's national museum whilst on a little walk on Sunday. If anything I'd say that New Zealand is possibly one of the least paranoid, most liberal and laid back places I've ever been. There's no issues with terrorism, or blind panic. There's a largely successful blend of cultural diversity, it's all just a bit 'mellow' you know after being in the UK. It's fantastic.

After someone I knew being in the airport at the time of the terrorist attack on Glasgow airport, seeing the photo that made national news about it, directly from the memory card at the place I was working in at the time, coming to a country where you don't go through security to get on a flight unless it's a plane leaving the country is kinda strange. Yet despite all this, nowhere is without these things.

CCTV, scourge or not? Helpful I'd imagine when your car gets nicked from the supermarket carpark or when you get a kicking outside a pub, invasive into everyday society at other times maybe? Trouble is, you never know quite what the footage ends up being used for do you? ;-)

NEWS UPDATE: A few months ago, I entered Radio Shack's national Invention Contest. Guess what, I WON!

I was going to do a short little update on being 30th in the queue at the Post Office. As I went to take a picture, on my iPhone, a man with in authority demanded that I stop taking photos immediately. No reason given.

Straight after that, an old lady with a dog was asked to leave in the interests of public health (the dog being the problem, not her.) I took photos of him telling her, obv.

I'm not one of these activists who rave on about photographers' rights and I'm not planning on getting one of those "I'm a photographer not a terrorist" tshirts, however there is no need to get so uptight. It's just a post office ffs!

Nb. I processed this with another cheeky little application that is *meant* to make it look like a movie still or CCTV image.

I feel like I keep going to the same small range of places to take pictures, and I really want to find some new and exciting locations that I've never been to before. This was taken in Alton, in a spot I've been to a million times, and I've actually taken pictures in this specific window before. I crave adventure.
