At first glance they appear just like any other security company.
But Target is unique in the sense that they use Clip-On Microphones and CCTV
to record your details; so you don't need to fill in any forms. brilliant.
The guards are characterised by ease and friendliness too - which makes for
a refreshing change.
when I was taking a shot of this downtown lobby Saturday night, a security guard came and told me that it's a privately owned building and she didn't think the owners would be happy about me taking pictures. Meanwhile, looks like there's some serious security to get on the elevator too. I wonder what goes on in that building, or if it's just squirrely rich folks.

When community offices close, residents lose direct access to the benefits they’ve earned.

March 24, 2011 - "Outsourcing National Security: The Legal Implications" - Penn Program on Regulation recently hosted a conference surrounding a panel discussion by the Chair of the Administrative Conference of the U.S. (ACUS), Paul Verkuil and Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Professor Laura Dickinson and moderated by Penn Law Professor Cary Coglianese, on the increasing outsourcing of national defense military contracts to civilian firms. Both Verkuil and Dickinson have recently published books on the subject, "Outsourcing Sovereignty: Why Privatization of Government Firms Threatens Democracy and What We Can Do about It" (2007) and "Outsourcing War and Peace: Preserving Public Values in a World of Privatized Public Affairs" (2011) respectively. Both Verkuil and Dickinson note the lack of oversight within the majority of these contracts, with people having high-security government clearance without having been properly trained or supervised. Professor Dickinson offered a potential solution of increased legal accountability for governmental contractors, but also the institution of additional training measures and auditing so as to increase supervision. This panel discussion was co-sponsored by Penn Program on Regulation, the Penn Law National Security Society, and the International Law Organization. The panel discussion was held at Penn Law.
This is from a series of photos to do with security. It was a project in which we had to randomly choose a word out of a hat or container, and I chose security, so I had to shoot based on that theme. I did some pretty straight-forward ones, but this one was my final choice because I love the random four arms, it's confusing (unless you look in the mirror to see me standing behind my friend and model, Lauren).
