On 2 December, 2010, the Russian Federation and the IAEA concluded an agreement on a voluntary contribution to the IAEA’s Nuclear Security Fund. Ambassador Grigory Berdennikov, heading the Russian Delegation, and Mr Denis Flory, the IAEA Deputy Director General of the Department for Nuclear Safety and Security, signed the agreement through which the Russian Federation will provide US $6.5 million in funding to the IAEA’s Nuclear Security Fund.

As part of an IAEA training course on nuclear security, an indoor tour is conducted at Japan’s Physical Protection Exercise Field, part of its Integrated Support Center for Nuclear Nonproliferation and Nuclear Security (ISCN), in Tokai-Mura. ISCN training courses combine classroom learning on key concepts with exercises and demonstrations. Participants gained hands-on experience with real equipment and measures that States employ to strengthen physical protection of nuclear material and facilities. (June 2017)

 

Japan is a member of the International Network for Nuclear Security Training and Support Centres (NSSC Network), which was established by IAEA Member States in 2012 to facilitate sharing of information and resources and to promote coordination and collaboration among states with an NSSC or those having an interest in developing a centre. The 2018 NSSC Network Annual Meeting will be hosted at ISCN, 5 – 9 March 2018.

FORT A.P. HILL, Va. – Three new security guards learned the power of pepper spray May 1 as part of their training here.

 

The Fort A.P. Hill Directorate of Emergency Services recently hired Joseph Figert, Jerry Mensah and Shasta Williams to be its first new security guards.

 

Their training includes being sprayed and performing a number of tasks while coping with the effects.

This is the first time I used a fisheye lens. I have to say this turned out very well. I just love the color and how the effects aren't too noticeable if you don't look close. In a way, it looks like there is a security camera filming the office.

PC Andy Ferguson of the Prestwich Neighbourhood Policing Team of Greater Manchester Police’s Bury Division calls in at a local school to talk to students about bicycle security. He gave the pupils a range of ideas to prevent them becoming victims of theft and security stamped their bikes to further deter thieves.

This is the best investment we have made in our new home.

As soon as we moved in a security company was contacted and we were active.

It is worth every penny for the peace of mind we get.

There have been several homes in our development that have been broken into. None of them had security systems.

The sign out front helps too. Police say a lot of people just have signs and no system.

Me, I don’t want just a plastic sign to protect my house.
