This is the point where the old A38 came up from the direction of Blackpool School and Shute Farm prior to the 1970's improvements that we greatly benefit from today.
This little section of old road has been cleared by BT to get to the telegraph pole and for the first time in nearly 50 years we see the once difficult route and climb that used to cause horrendous tailbacks.
