About the same time iron ore was discovered in the Tower/Soudan/Lake Vermillion region, someone speculated that there might be gold there, too. This hammer drill was brought in to help work through the rock, slag, and such to pull the ore free. There wasn't much gold found, nothing to get excited about, and that was most likely a good thing.

Pan Mass cyclists are riding through Dover on their way back to the finish line at Babson College. This is the bridge over the Charles River on the Needham-Dover line. Approximately 5,000 riders participated in the Pan Mass Challenge. Now in its 28th year, the PMC expects to raise $27 million from the efforts put forth by PMC cyclists on August 4 and 5, 2007. To date, the PMC has raised more than $171 million that has been used to improve the lives of those suffering with cancer. It is the largest single contributor to the Jimmy Fund, bringing in nearly 50 percent of its annual revenue.
