An angel fallen, stolen, captured. In the hands of the shadows where she once came from, in the hands of the shadows that keep her safe.

Actually, this is also its first boat. How do I know? Because it still has its training wheels.

this prize container served many....many years and many..many flushes ....the bowl itself was not the thing wrong it was the inner plumbing the correct pressures the correct water flow..... ..Sort a like Friendships...one wrong thing and all is gone down the drain........

it sat in my moms backyard and she placed it there in Flower garden to let the city know the land was hers and she would do with it what she pleased....when they first bought the land and house they were in the country then the city got greedy ...then the city people moving to the country brought all their city ways and did not want the smells and sights of the country they wanted rules and they wanted to change their neighbors... this sat inside a group of trees and water plants and could only be seen from the back doorway...

This months theme in the Blythe Flat Lay Challenge fb group was: A day in the life. What do YOU do? Or what job can your doll dress up as? All careers welcome at this photo challenge... Guess what my job is ;)

I walked right on by this old tv set dumped in a park. I kept walking and then stopped. When I turned around, I saw this.

Everything is worth a second look! Some of us even get a second chance. I have had two...that I know of!

Footnote: Thanks go to sadferret for informing me of the correct pronunciation and spelling of "Farwys"!

One of my favorite pics of all time that I have taken. Taken right off of I-90 (we pulled over & got out of course!) near Ellensburg. Beauty is freakin' everywhere!!!

I don’t really do “smiling” shots, even on my best days. I’ve always been really self conscious about it. But today really was a good day-from the moment I woke up. And this is true me, plain white tank top with jeans, pony tail and enjoying the outdoors. I heard this song on the way back from the grocery store; it was like the last piece of the puzzle today. Everything is just sort of falling into place.

My eyes are open wide

By the way I made it through the day

I watch the world outside

By the way I'm leaving out today

I just saw Hayley's comet, she waved

Said "why you always running in place?

Even the man in the moon disappeared

Somewhere in the stratosphere"

[Chorus]

Tell my mother, tell my father

I've done the best I can

To make them realize

This is my life

I hope they understand

I'm not angry, I'm just saying

Sometimes goodbye is a second chance

Shinedown-Second Chance The lyrics are powerful, the song is amazing...

Menhaden (also called Pogie or Bunker) were in large tight bait-balls off the Nauset Beach shore this past Sunday. As the tide went out, the Striped Bass ambushed the fish along the sandbars, forcing many of them to choose death by stranding or death by being eaten!

People on the beach rushed to throw them back into the sea as they leaped out of the waves by the hundreds. (Most didn't even realize they were throwing the fish back into the mouths of waiting hungry stripers!)

I don't know about you, but I would love to soar above all that is frustrating in this life. I am told that when all of life seems to be crushing me and I cannot go another step that I can call on God to renew my strength..."but those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles." I want to thank so many of you for not giving up on me... encouranging me to trust God and take another step of faith...and soar...

I am a nut for these guys... I dream of taking captures of them in the wild some day...

Until then these beauties at the Santa Barbara City Zoo will do. The sad part is that this fella is missing his right eye. They have rehabed him properly here and will take care of him for the rest of his life, but his soaring days are over...;(

A little closer

One interesting note: I didn't use any textures or layers on these captures as the natural background and bokeh came out quite nice I think...

When my grandson first asked me what this was I told him it was a new beginning... now it's a second chance.

Out of the middle of this old tree is springing new life... a second chance.

I was reminded today how important second chances are... and even third, fourth and fifth chances. Where would we be today if there hadn't been opportunities for us to regroup and try again?

For those of you who need a second chance or maybe you need to be the one giving it... forgiveness and reconciliation is a beautiful thing.

Enjoy your week.

Pouring rain outside today so seemed like a good day to frustrate myself with some indoor shots, lol! ;) Now for my next project... to clean up the water that is all over my kitchen!

On my little school field trip with my grandson's 4th grade class we were walking in the grounds behind the State Capital after visiting the "terminators" office and I notice a group of kids squeeling and jumping around something on the grass. This little beauty and her mate were trying to enjoy some alone time and the kids were smacking at them to break them apart. After showing the kids they were harmless and quite gentle to touch and hold I liberated them high enough in the trees above so the kids couldn't reach them. She then hung around long enough for this little photo session... much more interesting than the "Gov's" office!! :-))

Flash directed towards ceiling, either no compensation or -1/3.

every once in a while, you get a second chance.

sometimes it's to do something that you wish you would have done the first time.

sometimes it's to stop yourself from saying something that you know will be hurtful.

sometimes it's just taking a moment to gaze at a sunset instead of being in such a hurry...

or enjoying childhood instead of rushing it.

whatever your second chance is, don't waste it...

because you don't get a second chance on your second chances.

The brightness of that day

We sullied by our foul offence :

Wherefore that robe we cast away,

Having a new at His expense,

Whose drops of blood paid the full price

That was required to make us gay.

And fit for Paradise.
