Helt Texas.
It is creepy when people use guns to commit crimes. Even minor vandalism like this. When you disrespect society and carry a gun at the same time, you are threatening me. Whether you intend to or not.
Respect for guns was one of the two commandments my parents hammered into me.
Taken while the lens was mounted on a Nikon D600, which has a full-frame FX sensor.
Some vignetting is present, obviously.
An eerily timeless piece!

Luna, as seen though my old orange Celestron C90 1000mm Maksutov-type (mirror) telephoto lens, multiple images stacked with RegiStax.
I'm almost certain that this image was made with my old Nikon D50. The EXIF header no longer contains this information, and my record-keeping is poor...

Guns on display at anti-Islam rally in Phoenix. Protesters brought plenty of firepower to a protest against Islamic terrorism and Islam itself on October 10. Police separated them a smaller group of counter-protesters. Held in front of the Islamic Community Center, the event was part of a broader "Global Rally for Humanity," with similar protests scheduled in other cities that day.
This photo was made with my old Nikkor-S 50mm f/1.4 lens. It was made in 1972 or 1973. It is quite scratched, dusty and maybe even has a little fungus growing, along with damaged coatings.
Nonetheless, it is fun to play with. I performed a crude AI-modification to the aperture ring (I used a file). The lens now works perfectly with my Nikon D600 (full metering and focus confirmation).
Found hanging on a fence in historic Virginia City, Nevada.
This was a single exposure, processed in Photomatix.
The geotag is not accurate, in case you're trying to track down the fence where this wheel was hung.
It was along the West side of Main street, but I'm not sure exactly where...

Billboard, Hwy 59, Downtown Houston.
My concern with America's obsession with guns isn't about rational people who keep guns for hunting, self defense, or such recreation as target shooting, trap, skeet, etc.
I had guns when I was a kid, hunted and shot for recreation. For a brief time, around the age of thirteen, I was even a member pf the National Rifle Association. Of course, I was living in Pasadena, Texas at the time, and also toyed with believing in flying saucers and the abominable snowman...
Another photo of Luna, perhaps my best yet.
Samyang 500mm F/8 "preset" T-mount lens ($20 used on eBay last year!),
mounted on my Nikon D50 with a T-ring.
Exposure was 1/320th at F/8, and ISO200.
Significant post processing in Nikon Capture NX.
This is a 100% (1:1) crop of the original six megapixel image. Even a 500mm lens is way too short for prime focus photography of the moon.
