I used a craft knife to scrape the cabbage tree leaves so I was left with stringy fibres. When I grouped all the fibres together I found it had quite a springy quality to it.
I'm into this wallet-making at the moment. Here's the second one. Already it is a lot more 'right' than the first one, though there's still a lot of little things, I want to do differently.
Outside's this retro fabric, I like a lot - and inside's Amy Butlers Coriander, my all-time favourite print, I think.
A coin pocket with a zipper, six card-pockets and two pockets for... for something. This one does not have a pocket for bank notes, since I found the first one (see it here - www.flickr.com/photos/notyetthedodo/5890030617/in/photost... ) to have simply too many pockets and too much material in it... so this is a try. Hmmmm. Wonder, if that pocket will be missed - the zippered pocket is large enough to stuff even a few notes into it, perhaps....

The Harrisburg Recruiting Company supported the Second Annual Army Strong Tour – Pennsylvania Passing League – East Division tournament June 25 at Susquehanna Township High School in Harrisburg, Pa. This Army STRONG tournament is sponsored by the Harrisburg Recruiting Battalion and The Sports Flash Radio Network. Competing for the title as East champions were 8 schools, providing 9 teams, throughout central and Eastern Pennsylvania. The tournament consisted of 14-man teams participating in 7-on-7 passing competition games. This year’s PPL-East was a double-elimination tournament, guaranteeing each team to play in four games, which culminated in a championship game between Plymouth Whitemarsh “Colonials” and the Susquehanna Township “Indians.” The “Colonials,” who were making their first appearance in the league, took home the title from the host-school “Indians,” 31-18. Recruiters from Harrisburg, Lancaster and Reading Opportunity Centers supported the schools at the tournament by working as game and field managers, and score keepers. I knew there was a Bald Eagle nest near our daughter's home, reported by others, but did not know the exact location. While walking in Hawk's Bluff Park I sighted the lone eagle just across the highway roosting at the nest in a large evergreen, only about 50 yards from the highway.
