Wow my second FP, believe me this is a great feeling.

Thanks so much everybody!

I'm really honored by this!

This is the second time I have met this man, and it was at complete random. Two years ago this month I wondered around Cambridge looking for photos until I met this man waiting for a bus. He told me to name the photo 'Cambridge Philosopher'.

Two years later the same month I see him walking towards the same bus stop. I couldn't believe it! I asked him if he remembered me and he did, I told him I'm back to take a photo of you with a better camera. He was worried about his appearance, he did look worse than I had met him two years ago.

It was one of the weirdest encounters with a person I have even had, I don't know how I can go back to the same area two years later and meet the same man waiting for the same bus! I only visit the town once a year.

I am using the wonderful tool provided by Pussycat Catnap "Height Stick - with Average Human Heights" available free on Marketplace. It uses average height figures from around the world (source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height). Just as in real life, my avatar is shorter than the average American woman.

Founded in 1813, the present main church is from 1846. There is a small cemetery with a second chapel in the courtyard and the cells are individual 19th-20th century houses.

The monastery has amazing settings, being surrounded by a lake and by forest. There is also a village with the same name near monastery. Because of the forest and lake, the air is pure and strong and the vegetation is exuberant. The area is on Europe's chernozem belt, the most fertile land in the world and you clearly see this. On one of the the opposite banks of the lake there are two oak trees that must have more than 400 years, witnesses of the legendary Codrii Vlăsiei, the prehistorical forest that used to grow around Bucharest on thousands of square kilometers up to 19th century, when most of it was felled to make land for agriculture.

This is a photograph from the SSE Airtricity Dublin City Marathon 2017 which was held in Dublin Ireland on Sunday 29th of October 2017 at 09:00. This year is the second year since the organisers decided to move the marathon from its traditional Bank Holiday Monday slot to Sunday. This proved to be an incredible success with yet again one of the largest field ever for the marathon in Dublin. The weather was absolutely perfect with ideal running conditions for the marathon with just some windy spots around the route. Temperatures were around 10 - 13C.

This set of photographs are from the start and the finish (up to about a finish time of 3 hours 10 minutes. The full set of photographs are available on our Flickr photostream at www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/albums/72157687708801381

When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.

I want get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?

If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. For offline usage and printing all of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution.

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

Let's get a bit technical: We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs

We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?

The explaination is very simple.

Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.

ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.

Above all what Creative Commons aims to do is to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

The first one I bought I really wanted to build, but I like to think it might appreciate in value one day, so it's being kept in storage, MISB. I didn't think I'd get a chance to grab a second one from my local stores (and I did go looking without any success), so I snapped this one up when it re-appeared on the shelf at K-Mart.

Looking forward to the build and my wife has even asked if she can help me build it! Looks like the smaller Friends sets she's built have brought another girl into the FOLd. hehe! =]

Saw at least three weddings in New Orleans but the one in the picture above was my favorite. We heard a band playing and noticed the wedding party waving napkins in the air so ran down to see what was up. While taking photos of that, I turned around to see random people just dancing in the street. It was awesome. When I got home, I looked up New Orleans weddings and found out that it is called "second line", which is the name given to those who follow the "first line" or main section of a parade. Doesn't it look like a blast? Learning about new traditions is just one of the reasons that I love to travel!

Some one called the police on me. A "suspicious looking person holding a black thing" on top of a parking garage. Yeah, I looked REAL suspicious in my polo knit and ball cap. But the cops liked the photos! And if I were going to be arrested for anything, I guess "Exposure" would be the charge, eh?

UIS hosted its 39th International Festival called World as One. Students and community members provided performances, informational booths, and local restaurants provided a variety of food. The event is one of the longest running traditions on the campus.
