This shot was taken on our second night during the recent trip to our Lake House in Door County, Wisconsin. I didn't think this sunset would be very good, but just before setting the sun came out from behind the clouds. It was a gient ball of red. Every sunset paints a different materpiece. From my early childhood I've regarded the owl as one that is wise and helpful. A trusted winged animal. It must have been through all the animation films I've watched as a child. This regal bird sits just beyond the moat protecting Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park.

Gemeint ist die Breitspurseite des Bahnhofes Siemianówka. Zwischen dem ersten Bild des Tages und diesem hier gab es ein gutes Frühstück im Haus am Waldesrand. Mit dem Fotografieren mussten wir uns jedoch beeilen, denn für diese Einstellung hier darf der Zoll nicht auf der Lok sein. Sonst gibt es Ärger, den niemand braucht. Also husch, husch und frisch ans Werk, die Autos der Zöllner waren bereits an den Regelspurgleisen geparkt worden. Zu sehen sind 2M62-0987 und rechts die DLA / Aspect TEM2-086.
Inzwischen ist der Bahnhof komplett umgebaut, einmal durchsaniert und mit reichlich Zinkmasten versehen worden.

A Yellow-jumped Warbler ( Audubon's) is thinking about a second dip after already enjoying one.
Did you know that the Yellow-rumped Warbler is divided into four forms?
The one shown is a Audubon's Warbler and breeds in western North America. Males sport a yellow throat and gray head and chest.
The Myrtle form breeds in eastern and norther north America. The male's white throat distinguishes it from the three other forms, along with other differences.
The Black-fronted warblers look like the Audubon's warblers but males have a dark face and breast. They live in Mexico and are nonmigratory.
The fourth but not least, the Goldman's Warbler males have a yellow throat bordered in white, and are nearly black on the head and ches. They live in Guatemala and are nonmigratory.

A lone pronghorn ran alongside and a bit ahead as we were guided in the Cathedral Valley of Capitol Reef National Park, April 27, 2023. This was a lucky, one shot from a moving vehicle while the animal was moving, too. Our actual guide was pretty excited to see this animal.

This reminded me of a ballet dancer, and my Google search suggests it looks most like first position, thus the title. Under the left arm, on the right, is a patch of tiny round balls, which I suppose, once were sombody's eggs. It's a nineteen image focus stack, so it should reward rather close examination.

The tulips are back! The tulips are back. Are you as excited as I am?
Still, more wabi-sabi; that may never change. This one fell over the side of the vase, so I shot it like this; I tried it right side up, but I liked this better somehow - or did I try it upside down, as this was how I found it? Life just gets more unclear as I get older; I'd anticipated it would be the other way around! As usual, my interest here is in color and texture, and above all the way the lines move around in the frame.
BTW, I've taken to putting a white rim around these images on black because, on my iPhone flickr app, it is otherwise difficult to discern the image's edges. I made it tiny because, while large mats look lovely on my desktop monitor, they make it hard for my tired old eyes to view an image on my iPhone's small screen.

A hot afternoon sun makes a hazy appearance, as Canadian Pacific train 281 rockets westbound through Ixonia with a leader one wouldn't expect to see these days, but I'm glad I did.

A very talented Artist, Orlando Gascoigne, on my "I follow list" got his own Sim. It's a really beautiful Fantasy Woodland and i took the chance to take a little picture there. i stuck to the wood area for this Visit (which is giant, and so pretty). I set up some more flowers and such, for the pictures. I hope that was ok for me to do so~♥ (i cleaned them up oc.)I really, really enjoyed my stay!
