During a community preview tour of the Second Avenue Subway project at the 86th Street cavern, Adam Meagher surprised his girlfriend, Carolyn Grossman, with a marriage proposal on Sat., May 17, 2014. The two are urban planners and subway enthusiasts. She said yes!

Achilleus, Phoenix, Patroclus, Automedon, Eudorus, Menesthius, Alcimedon and Peisander
Achilleus is the general of the army. Patroclus is his second in command. Automedon is Achilleus' chariot driver. Phoenix, Eudorus, Menesthius, Alcimedon and Peisander are subordinate commanders, each leading a group of 500 Myrmidons.
In the game Second Life, I play the avatar Juushika Redgrave.
I love this outfit. It is yet another 180 from yesterday's look. The bodysuit is from Neverwhere, and comes on undershirt and underpants layer. The texture and shading are both exceptional, and it's nearly seamless--making it a great buy for the price. I layered pants from Panjen over the top. They are part of a zipped leather pants and tank set that I wear a lot--they're very versatile items, despite being no-mod. The blood overlayer from Sh*t Happens is an inexpensive but high-quality addition to add just a touch of extra color and texture to the outfit. You may have to view the image at full size to see it.
The hair is from Deviant Kitties, and it's always nice to get an excuse to wear DK hair. I love her styles, but the Fire is the only red color option that I like (the oranges are too light for me, the red too dark and too purple), but the black roots means that it doesn't always combine well with my outfits--but it sure works well with this one. The piercing is also from Deviant Kitties, and although it took a lot of editing to get them positioned properly, I really appreciate finding a full-facial piercing set with one attachment point. I only have one free attachment point on my face, so I like to get a lot out of it. (I also edited it to tint it black and to add an antibrow and brow piercing which you can't see here.) The eyes are from Here Comes Trouble, and are a little more yellow than I'd like, but I for the life of me I couldn't find a good green cat pupil set on black. If you happen to know where to find one, feel free to drop suggestions. ^_^

The holidays have been intense with RL and SL busy mode happening all at once! I hadn't even started my shopping for gifts until yesterday! LOL! OMG!
Some great events and partys on the SL grid way laid my efforts and focus this year. Oh, well... party on peeps...
Louis Volare was playing at Asagao Treasures yesterday. Thank you Montana Laurasia for the event planning and execution. Beautiful music at a beautiful site, and I loved the sky dancer giving the particle show above the stage. Louis is an incredible live musician who plays jazz piano. WOW!
I stopped off to say hello to the New Berlin friends at Electro Smog where Zap Hax was spinning. Can't help leaving everything when Zap sends a tp. His music just puts me in a nice place in my head... especially with all the stress of the holidays!
Promoter Tasty Hax and her team put together an awesome event over at SEAT Beach Club. I saw EVERYONE there including the members of The A List! Woot! Over 50 people were at that event and it was a great stress tester on the sim. Xavi & I, explored it a day ahead and found some nice psy builds.
Ahhh Digital Francis sent an invite over to his Mu sim at the DC-10 club. Love Digi! So we jetted over asap to catch DJ Andy Seiling do his proggy thing... he is a smooth dj that I really enjoy hearing. Lots of peeps were there along with several dj's: Moshi Kamachi (love love this guy), Ionic Benton, Aurora Fairey, Ryz Uriza, Tasty Hax and clubber Lolla Honi. We had a blast! TY Digi!
We promised ourselves that we would only stay at DeRailed for 30 min when DJ Daemonchadeaux sent the tp, but we ended up staying for the entire DJ Blabbermouth set. If you were there, you would know why. Xavi was in heaven! I did some shopping there too, so I did not waste any time! LOL!
Xavi logged out for a dinner break which left me to take care of building business. Yeah, right. DJ Space Greilling sent a tp and the temptation was too great! So, off I went to alt7 alternative club to listen to my favorite alternative dj! Space can keep me in a place indefinitely! I love his contemporary alternative tunes and he always gives us a little musical lesson to go along with it.
I'm off for more! Second Life has so much to do, it is impossible to see and do it all... but, I'm trying! LOL! hehe
Neelkanth is a major peak of the Garhwal division of the Himalayas, in the Uttarakhand region in India. Although substantially lower than the highest peaks of the region, it towers dramatically over the valley of the Alaknanda River and rises 3,474 metres (11,398 ft) above the Hindu holy town of Badrinath.
Frank Smythe described the peak as "second only to Siniolchu in Himalayan beauty."
The Satopanth Glacier lies on the northwest side of Nilkantha, below a 2,500 m (8,200 ft) face of the peak. The Panpatia Glacier lies to the southwest, and feeds the Khirao Ganga, a stream running under the south side of the peak. Further away, to the west of the peak, lies the well-known Gangotri Glacier and its associated peaks. Across the Alaknanda valley lie the Kamet and Nanda Devi groups.
Mythological Beliefs
It is believed that there was no mountain on the spot where Nilkantha stands today. There was an adage route between Kedarnath and Badrinath. The "Purohita" or the worshipper of the two temples worshipped them in one day. This continued for a long time until due to some sins of the worshipper, Lord Shiva became displeased with him and stood blocking the way as huge sky-kissing mountain, which is said to be modern Neelkanth.

Weddings are complicated affairs. When, where and what am I going to wear? A wedding is complicated in real life and equally complex in Second Life.
An old friend invited me to his best friend's wedding. My friend was the best man and he had never been part of a wedding party. So I went to help support him and get some inspiration for when I get married...
Annie and Douglas, a beautiful couple held their nuptials at Rose Gardens. The sim is built for weddings and it is simply elegant.
Annie's dress was beautiful and Douglas was elegant in his tuxedo. Morgana Shi was the minister and her words were beautiful spoken and timely for the couple.
My friend was best man while Benny was another attendant. Penny and Shila were Annie's bridesmaids.
I didn't know anyone there except for my friend, but all welcomed me as part of their special day. I had a lot of fun that afternoon just talking and watching a beautiful event.
Yes, a wedding only takes but a few minutes to complete... but over months and months of planning takes place to accomplish that wonderful day. Congratulations to Annie and Douglas and thank you very much for your hospitality!
