Our final shot this chase was the searchlight cantilevers in Plains. The train wastes no time heading through town, and was closely followed by a westbound coal train.
Wilbur searched for stumps in the vast expanse of whiteness surrounding Keechelus Lake. While he found some, he discovered stumps are less interesting to photograph when their roots are covered by a blanket of snow.
