Abel Tasman National Park

Seal in Monterey Bay

Ka'ena Point, Oahu, Hawaii

Location: Ecomare, Texel, The Netherlands

A mother and baby seal at full 720mm zoom, way below on a little sheltered beach. It looks like they survived Storm Ophelia, which made us divert inland on the way to St David's as it had blown large pebbles across the road at Newgale.

Once puffin hanging out on the rocks with another taking flight. With their big bodies and small wings, their flying was certainly unique.

I was lucky to see the baby seal suckling from its mum.

Some seals were quite fidgety, frequently lifting themselves up and hauling themselves a short distance, before settling down again.
