Dance mosaic glass scupture
Vahe Tokmajyan - Lead artist in collaboration with Janey Luc-German, Juan Carlos Urria, Lovelia Vera, Maria Loaiza, Zoong Nguyên.
Dance is at the core of many cultures and is as old as the history of humanity. Vahe and his multidisciplinary team of artists have partnered to develop an art piece that celebrates dance as a common form of social expression across all cultures. The sculptural composition represents a partner dance in which their intertwined movements showcase the engagement of mind and body and reflect the joy of dance. Here the dancers align their movements and gestures to the rhythm of the music and create an interconnected performance that tells a story.

This is a scupture on the University of New Mexico's Main Campus in Albuquerque New Mexico. It is titled "The Center of the Universe" by the artist, Bruce Nauman. It is a three dimensional plus sign of hall ways, so when standing in the center, inside, hallways lead away from you in 6 directions. I was struck by the glow of the interior lights during this twilight shot. It seemed mysterious to me, in ways I'd not experienced at other times of the day.
I processed this in lightroom with a wonderland preset called "creative catalyst 19" and further adjusted the tonecurve to bring back details in the clouds and the shadows.
(Best viewed large) You have to be real careful where you walk because you never know where you going to end up talking photos. At the same time, the window of prime lighting is slowly closing as the sun sets behind the dunes. Thankfully there was no fog to deal with and I was very happy to come away with some good visual memories.

All the scuptures that can be seen in venice, on the palace of the doge's facade are not all the originals. There are some rooms in the courtyards if this palace where it is possible to see the originals works of art. This is where I saw this beautiful lion that seems to wear daisies around the ears......

Scuptures by the lake is a very worthwhile visit. The artist Simon Gudgeon is very talented and the walk around the lake is filled with multiple sculptures for all tastes.
The late Dennis Avery, land owner of Galleta Meadows Estates in Borrego Springs, California, envisioned the idea of adding 'free standing art' to his property with original steel welded sculptures created by 'Perris Jurassic Park' owner/artist/welder Ricardo Breceda based in Perris, California. There are over 130 metal sculptures located in Borrego Springs.

On Saturday, Darren Wilkin and I went on the Sculpture in the City art trail.
We couldn't find 5B (a bench or a chair) and when I got home I realised we'd photographed the wrong thing for number 10!
A few weeks back we'd came upon 1 of the peices whilst we were doing the City Wall walk, and decided they'd make a good day out, which they did. We were going to do them last Saturday, but I went down with covid the day before, so couldn't travel, even though I felt OK.
We managed to get them done by lunch time, and anyone who has wandered around the City of London streets on a Saturday, will know most restaurants/cafes are closed. But we did find a really nice pizzeria called Homeslice on Cannon Street ... we had a 20 inch pizza between us, and a very slow wander in the afternoon :)
Anyways, I was up at 5.30am and got home at 7.30pm, to be told friends were picking us up at 8pm to go out. When I then got back home at 11.30pm, I was wide awake, so settled down to do this mosaic ... I might have a lay-in Sunday morning :))

As this is in a private garden (taken with difficulty through a wire mesh fence) I am not sure of the sculptor but I feel it is probably Marti Wong as he has done other very similar work.
This scupture is by John Seward Johnson II (born 1930) is an American artist known for his trompe l'oeil painted bronze statues.
He is best known for his life-size bronze statues, which actually are castings of living people of all ages depicting them engaged in day-to-day activities. A large staff of technicians perform the fabrication.
