I made some deliberate choices in this piece, distilling the crucifixion down to its strongest visual elements to concentrate the emotion, modernizing the details to relate to our time, and using physical form to convey externally the internal strength of the sacrifice. Finally, I chose to give the darkness and hate perpetrating the crime the personification of a scavenging crow.

At this point in the crucifixion, the enemy believed he had won, so the crow is in a celebratory rage. The irony is understood though, as we happen to know what a total victory this moment was for Christ- and us ALL.

another wonderful birthday gift from my sweetheart (it's a customized tamo painted to resemble his likeness- he made the hat out of sculpy). yes, my ken is super awesome. this is the backside....next photo will be of the front.

The new tiranti silicone has a clear catalyst. Hopefully i've mixed it all correctly haha it was a little hard to tell if it had all gone in being transparent.

The sculpture is fully assembled, although awaiting mounting to a suitable pedestal for gallery display.

This piece is entirely sculpey clay, excepting the blood detail which is acrylic paint.

dramatic eye brows can change the whole feel of the piece

bracelet displayed on ceramic antique hand. polymer clay tile beads useing TLC and transfer technique with laser printer, shabby cottage studio valentine collage sheets were used for the images, glass beads and silver findings were used between the tile beads, tile beads were finished using sculpy gloss finish

The bags are made of scrapp wool from the Pendelton blanket mill. The men are made of sculpy, house paint and grit.
