ReykjavÃks guest city Edmonton - Warm currents concert is a cooperation project of 4 musicians from ReykjavÃk and 4 musicians from Edmonton. The concert will take place after the opening event of Winter Lights Festival on Thursday, 5th of February. During the concert the musicians will be performing each other’s music, resulting in a fun show. Icelandic musicians are Pétur Ben, Lay Low, Sóley and Snorri Helgason and from Edmonton Cayley Thomas, Braden Gates, Kristofor Ellestad and Paul Cournoyer & Stephanie Blais from the band Post Script. This is an event not to be missed by any music fan, as we’re aiming for an amazing night of musical performances.

Portrait of a Writer on his way to work while he walks past the posters of movies already made with scripts not nearly as compelling as his.
This was shot with my d200 and a 35mm lens (60mm equivalent) - f10 and exposure time of 1 second. I had a vivitar flash to my left shooting through a 2x3 foot vertical softbox at full power illuminating the subject at an angle of about 75 degrees and then a second flash at chest height shooting almost directly towards the subjects left side at 1/2 power - hence the shadow cast over the left Borat.
The background is a 6.5 foot tall plywood wall that blocks off an abondoned lot and is always covered in big movie promotions. It's located on Wilshire Blvd in West Los Angeles...

The Script are an Irish pop rock band formed in 2001.[5] The band consists of lead vocalist/pianist Danny O'Donoghue, vocalist/guitarist Mark Sheehan, and drummer Glen Power. Based in London after signing to Sony Label Group imprint Phonogenic, the band released their eponymous debut album in August 2008, featuring the hit songs "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" and "Breakeven (Falling to Pieces)". The album peaked at number one in Ireland and the UK.[6] Their second album, Science & Faith, was released in September 2010, and contains the hit songs "For the First Time" and "Nothing". The album peaked at number one in Ireland and the UK, and number three on the US Billboard 200.[6][7] Their third album, #3, peaked at number one in Ireland and the UK, containing the hit song "Hall of Fame", in collaboration with hip hop artist will.i.am.
