The 2 Amur Tigers in this enclosure were quite active (for a change) taking turns in marking and checking their territory.
The very endangered Amur Tigers at Yorkshire Wildlife Park are part of the European Breeding Programme and successfully raised 3 cubs in 2015.

Tessa and Sole have a new cat scratcher thing. Tessa didn't read the instructions so she's taken it over thinking it's a princess bed. Sole and his claws can't get anywhere near it.
Urban life would be so much more pleasant if people were able to curb their appetite for defacing public facilities - such as this elevator glass facade at a suburban train stop in Essen, Germany.
The Sulphur-Crested-Cockatoo on the right was giving his partner a good old scratch where keeping an eye on me.
That bull elephant in musth again. This guy was following a herd of matriarchs and their herd. Keeping an eye on a young bull family member and making sure he kept back from the rest of the herd. At some point the herd slowed down and the bull decided to get a little amorous with this termite mound where he snuggled it with his trunk, dry humped it and then scratched his butt on it. Candid street portrait taken in Ayr, Scotland, during the Scottish Air Show 2015. Lingering my frame long enough to capture that instantaneous eye contact and resulting in a very thought provoking expression on this gentleman among the thronging crowds which numbered 120000.

Shooting ballerinas from the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet recently. Caught Elizabeth in this candid shot.

I've been extremely busy with university stuff though. I have many tests during the week and next week will be awful.
I promise to answer when I should have a free time.
Take Care.

Another bird more often seen at Middle Creek, but that I am rarely able to capture is the Bald Eagle. I saw this one snatch a fish on the other side of the lake so I drove over there hoping to get close. I got lucky (except for a few branches in the way) and this capture was taken from the car.

Just before I head Iceland, a couple of us hit Wales to try this huge industrial wasteland again after being rudely removed by secca on previous attempts! Needless to say we won this time! : )
That said we only covered so much, the place is an industrial behemoth!

American white pelicans seem to spend about 80% of their time, preening, scratching or sleeping. Here, they've just woken from a nap.
She was sitting in the sun just relaxing. Then she got an itch and proceeded to scratch herself quite vigorously.
Notice the old beaver cutting in the background.

I attended a "Wings and Wheels" venue yesterday, which featured vintage aircraft and cars. Unfortunately, one of three Harvard trainers had come in for a landing and went off the runway. There was a crosswind and bystanders who saw the crash said the plane drifted off it's approach onto the grass, where the wheels caught something and flipped it over. Thankfully there was no fire and both pilot and passenger walked away with only cuts and scratches.
