You'd be surprised how often hummingbirds scratch themselve's when perched. I put a feeder near a good spot for photos, and then go out in the evening and hang out nearby. They get fairly tame after a bit, and a few that come around regularly will allow a glimpse into their more personal side.
Thought I'd try something a little different. I thought it looked a bit spooky through the key hole, it might just be me but the shadow on the wall looks a bit like a shadowed eye.

I just recently remembered this picture of Scratch. I think it captures his personality really well.
a scratch appeared on my aluminium powerbook and it wasn't my fault.
i got it off my chest elsewhere on flickr.
any suggestions as to warranty cover?

A few kilometers further and just before arriving in Jasper, we met this bear and I just took the picture when he was scratching !
Quelques kilomètres plus loin et juste avant d'arriver à Jasper, nous avons rencontré cet ours et j'ai juste pris la photo quand il se grattait !

It was the first time I'd used Marcus' Nikonos-V, and i completely failed to load the film correctly, at first. Luckily I realised pretty early on...
It's the first time I've used Marcus' (beautiful, wonderful) underwater camera, and I completely failed to load it correctly... but at least I worked it out before I shot too much of the roll!
This was from the other day at work, I usually do the cleaning first thing in the morning while someone else takes the dogs out to be exercised. But on this day, it was the other way around. I swear no one trains their dogs anymore. It's quite frustrating, and sad for the dog really. Quite a lot of the dogs are bigger than me aswell. I'm 5'2 and about 48 kgs (105 lbs), and the dog that flipped out on me would have been atleast 130 lbs! Fat, spoilt, crazy Labrador!! -.- That day I also got splinters in my hand from a broom, smashed my head into a gate, tripped over several times, ended up with bruises on my sides and my back from knocking myself on the kennel door latches, and 2 dogs got out on me (escaped from their kennels) which never happens! I'm usually really careful! The mutts really did get the better of me. It was just one of those days when you say to yourself, "I should have just stayed in bed".
On a better note, today at work I received no scratches or injuries, and there was a massive Great Dane :D
His name is Roger and he is the biggest wuss ever >_<

By the way, it's kind of difficult to write backwards with a push-pin (I couldn't find an exacto knife or razorblade)

I love what flamingos represent in the same way I am an athiest that "believes" in luck.
There's always a part of people that wants to have something nice and not dirty or used or scratched or alive. There is a place for the plastic in our lives, otherwise I don't suppose they'd be so very sucessful.
The Keys give me that feeling in the actual Florida, but if you look closely, the brightly painted signs have been battered by summer storms so they're cracked and worn and faded up front.
A pink plastic flamingo is a thing that should not be, yet there it is.
