For daily challenge...."Relaxation".

The old adage, "to stop and smell the roses", has never really been a problem for me; I love to relax. Today as I was hanging out by my local lake, I saw this little patch of daisies, and they were screaming for me to take their picture.

June2011 "Colour' challenge for "Through the lens of an iphone" group

Some people have asked me how I achieve these effects, such as above, on my iphone so I have created a website www.iphoneographycentral.com on which myself and many of the world's leading iphoneographers share our work flows via step-by-step tutorials. If you are interested in learning more about taking and editing photographs on your mobile phone using the many apps available, please visit www.iphoneographycentral.com.

He walked in. Ordered his coffee. And moved to the opposite end of the counter to wait for it. He kept up a banter with one of the baristas. I was a few feet away from him and watched his every move. Or should I say - watched his shadow's every move...

#MobileArtistry is creative edits, beautiful images, unique perspectives, stellar shots, and happy accidents. IE, stuff you won't find on the pop page.

Through this ongoing project we hope to expose people to art and artists they may not normally get to see, learn about one another's process, and encourage each other to push the limits of creativity.

Tonight's submission is from Caroline, aka @caroline2645, let's hear about her process.

I'd like to thank @mobileartistry, and all the administrators: @momma2maxh, @wolfeaugen and particularly Will @computerjones who reached out to me for this opportunity. I am thrilled to be here and have found this tag and group of artists truly inspiring. I am particularly drawn to self-portraits because it offers me the chance to explore my sense of self in relation to the world and others in a unique way. Some images are pictures I see in my head and then try and capture, and some images evolve over time and the editing process. Below is my process for this image:

I first took the image of my eye in native iphone5 camera, and the image of the trees in camera+. The image of my eye was cropped in snapseed and then edited in noir. The image of the trees was edited in camera+--I first cropped and then applied the "ansel" effect and toned it down a tad. Then I brought both images to blender and used the arrange and mask functions until I was satisfied. The blend mode was luminosity plus darker. Next I brought the new image to scratchcam and played around with scratches and textures. I then took the image back to blender to add some small flowers to my lower eyelid (just felt it needed something...). Then that image went back to noir for some light adjustments, and then finally I finished in snapseed with a little tuning and adjusting the white balance to -45 for the blueish tone. So.....that's it. I hope you like it!
