Ork Flesh Wash and homemade yellow ink carefully painted over the set glue, and then spread and poured over the base.

Here is the final product. The socket and the Arc Reactor.

One of the poles in my 3 pole line. You just can't beat that Hemingray blue on the left side of the crossarm.

Using mason twine as conductors for now but will replace it with wire and tie it to the insulators.

Progress with scratchbuilding a 'Caledonian' style engine shed for our layout Braeside

I commissioned this scratch built model from another hobbyist. One of my usual plastic army men is in a couple of the shots - in the pliers - to give a sense of scale.

Not bad for my first attempt! I am pleased with the result, the Photo Polymer Plate will do what I had in mind. I lost some detail, but less then I had expected to. I think I can preserve more with a little less vigorous scrub down. I bought a large enough PPP to do this twice, just in case. So I can afford to do it again and see if I get better results. If not, no biggie. I am happy with these results.
