The first coat of paint has just been applied and I was quite happy to leave it to dry in the sun until the clouds darkened and we were treated to a short, but violent thunderstorm.
A test on a scrap piece of tine showed that the second coat took the first coat off if applied too quickly, so I'll finish it tomorrow. I expect to complete the door and window then too.
Hollow to accomodate the woodwork. Arched card - to allow it to be swung into place and then dropped into the gap between the wall and the platform
Scratchbuilding a front bumper foa a 1/12 scale Monogram 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. The material I'm using is called Durepoxi, and it's a epoxy putty that can be molded and sculpted.
Window frames have been added in brass to the door skins. Next up are the door hinges, and door interior panels.
Shed number two will have a window. I haven't made one before so this is an ideal project in which to have a go. This end wall has since been clad in tin to match the roof, and the sides have been tacked in firmly so they don't bow outwards anymore.
