At our March meeting, Randee Ketzel showed us how to make her leopard skin pebbles. Lots of fun was had playing with scrap clay, and seeing how all the pretty pebbles emerged from a wad of scrap clay.

I still have quite a bit of fringe work to complete on this piece. Still haven't decided on what to do for the neck strap. I apologize for the horrible pic, no time to futz with it, it's getting late and I have to go to work!

This is definitely moving along! The fringe beads will also be on the last rivoli and along the bottom of the strap. Looks like I will be wearing this soon!

I had some scrap clay in nice colors. For quite some time, I had an idea of this funny shape. Ideal match for one more experiment...

For once, I am trying to remember to take multiple pictures of my progress on a piece.

In progress. Haven't yet decieded whether to finish with buna cord ...? Linen textured clay, marbelized clay, paint, wax.

I made these with scrap clay. First I mixed some scrap green, then I cut strips of old patterned sheets. These tend to crack, but I used small pieces, so it wasn't an issue. I was inspired by surprisedelightjoy's christmas tree pin. I believe hers is mixed media and old paper.

made with various scraps of premo clay. Embellished with Golden paint on edge. Varnished with varathane.
