SCOPE Art Fair opened it's doors to throngs of excited VIP's during a special Tuesday night preview of the show. Miami's Art Basel week is just starting to gear up, and the work at this year's SCOPE is already very different from last year - featuring much more up-and-coming talent, and prices that seem to be lower overall.

I took a different route home tonight to scope out a couple bars to include in my upcoming beer & tots birthday bike tour. Shortly after leaving work I got caught in a torrential downpour - but since the temps were so warm, it felt great! I rode in it for a while even through the crazy winds that nearly brought me to a standstill. I can't believe my phone didn't get zapped but the Chrome holster on my messenger bag kept it dry. I stopped for a while under a bridge near the Kinzie Industrial Corridor to wait for the big rain to stop; there were several other cyclists and people on motorbikes under there doing the same thing. I saw this glove shortly after taking off from the bridge.
Please note that a new hardware version of this device has been released, therefore these images will most likely not apply to it.

This shot shows (top to bottom) /CE, R/W, /CE again on a slow channel, R/W again, and two data bits. The lower four traces are from a 5A14 four-channel plug-in which has a bandwidth of only 1MHz. The signals are way too fast for it!
This shot has the CRT graticule illumination turned up.
I really liked seeing the Black-bellied Plovers with their black bellies - I've seen them before, but not in breeding plumage. Very striking. They are called Grey Plovers outside of North America.
You can see some Semipalmated Plovers in the background, but the overwhelmingly most common birds were the Semipalmated Sandpipers, which is the majority of the rest of the birds shown here except, what is that, a Dowitcher?
