Amtrak East-West Service timetable – July 12, 1971
Issued just over a couple of months after Amtrak began, this was still very much a Penn Central timetable (Form 1) – it is noted on the cover that Penn Central is operating the trains “under contract for the National Railroad Passenger Corporation.” The Amtrak name and a more colorful (“pointless arrow”) logo is on the cover.

Interior of Alive Studios
The Studio Share concept is based on a monthly membership and does not typically cater to one time rentals, etc. Exceptions have been made on occasion.
Having access to a fully equipped and very comfortable studio will impress your clients! Rent is between $125 and $350 per month depending on your needs, and our scheduling availability. Read on to learn more about the facilities equipment list, general membership guidelines, and photos of the space and surrounding shooting locations.
The cooperative studio provides much more than just a shooting location. Our group of professional and semi-professional photographers (visit the Alive Studios Blog) love to hang out and talk shop. Once every few months we all get together to show our latest work, drink vino, and talk about crazy photography experiences. The goal is to inspire and be inspired. Many of our members joined as much for this benefit as for a shooting space.
The studio is designed around a concept of providing multiple shooting stages for a single photographer and can handle group sizes up to 10 people utilizing our 12’ seamless paper backdrops. An additional 9’ seamless paper backdrop area provides an alternative shooting setup. Both backdrop spaces have natural light streaming in from the East double glass doors. Black out shades also give the option to completely control light.
Photos showing the conditions of Bear Creek Park and Bear Creek shoreline before our cleanup Scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. All the assistance from volunteers and sponsors is greatly appreciated!
This cleanups and several other re are running in April will be in conjunction with the Alliance for the Chesapeake ‘s Annual Project Clean Stream Event.
Our cleanups are part of an ongoing effort clean the entire stream by 2014 in preparation for the War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebration. (Bear Creek has been noted as one of the highlighted location on the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail) The creek played a rather significant part in the Battle of North Point which took place on September 12, 1814. The British used the creek to disembark troops in their attempt to capture Baltimore. This important part of our history should not be left the eyesore it currently is.
Remember, there plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We will need every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the Clean Up. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we can use people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to work the grills as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. Please feel free to pass this information on to other who might be interesting in helping as well. As my grandfather always said, “Many hands makes the work light”. We run our cleanups as a family event with all age groups welcome by developing plenty of ways for volunteers to participate.

I think this would be an awesome slogan for a "don't forget to get your mammogram" campaign. But maybe that's just me :-)
Scheduled to be torn down during the summer of 2009.
...and less than a week later (5/7/09) the deconstruction has begun. I find it interesting enough to note this may be the last image taken of this structure in its entirety. Looking at it, one may get a feeling slightly similar as when looking at another "last known photograph."
Or maybe not, I dunno.

For my birthday I got to tour NASA, not just the visitor center, but a backstage tour. I saw a bunch of things being worked on and prepared to go into space on a mission scheduled for 2008. It was really cool.
