My Favourite Fly.
In my garden Stafford UK 3rd August 2021
Anyone remember the original film "The Fly"? This was the fly they used. The film scared me and still gives me the shudders. I don't think the remake was as creepy.
Suddenly this little black beauty came into our lives. Our next door neighbor saved him from the middle of traffic and brought him home. He was very frightened and hissed at everyone. Until Mr. Zsaj put a bit of cat food on his nose, which he licked off. And suddenly people weren's so scary. After being fostered for a while, he's come to us for his forever home.
Another one I processed like crazy.
:)
Similar process with her as "Please Help" (Day 348).
After getting the color ALMOST right I used the magnetic selection tool to select the girl. I inverted the selection and copied the background only into another layer. I removed the color and blurred it with a gaussian blur (30) and then set that layer to lighten. Finally I used a levels layer, also with girls excluded, to keep the whites in the background from blowing out.
While I was waiting for a bus I watched these crows attack people.
I will try to get a better video of it.
I am off to meet with Brandon from Victoria.

Sometimes I wish I could fly but then I remember that I am scared of heights.
It is not the best, but I am tired and my lungs are wheezy. I was going to have taken this photo five hours ago, but everything sort of got away from me.
I am positive that about 50% of the words that come out of my mouth are promises of killing inanimate objects, 30% are quotes (10% of those are ‘curiouser and curiouser’) and the other 20% are words of useless trivia.
Such as this: it costs more to buy a new car today in the United States than it cost Christopher Columbus to equip and undertake three voyages to and from the New World. Personally, I would quite willingly exchange a car to voyage around the world. Of course, I do get quite sea-sick, so voyages are probably not a great plan…
After being trapped between the mail lady and Dirt (see picture in the comments) Jimmy and Mack narrowly escaped to the street outside our complex only to be approached by a man carrying two large bags of trash on his way to the dumpster. Mack hid behind some parked cars and Jimmy jumped down into the storm drain. I think I was as scared for him as he was of the mail lady, Dirt and the man with the trash combined! We went straight home after all this excitement and ate lots of treats to recover.
Best viewed enlarged.
One of my favourite birds. They are very fast and agile picking of little mud crabs in mid-flight. Just amazing.

I was teaching my kitten to climb and it was the first time! Finally he did it! I think the radial blur effect was the best to hide the dirty wall behind and show the kitten's feeling!
i took diego to the groomer at the crack of dawn yesterday. the appt was so early that i decided not to go to sleep at all the night before rather than get up early...
i'm a moron.
anyway, i was dead tired and bored as all hell... we don't like abandoning him there so we wait and watch...
i tried my best to entertain myself by listening to some music and taking pictures. i think the people of petsmart thought i was pretty strange for toting a camera along...
With ears back and eyes closed, Rupert prepares himself for a fight with our tonkinese cat Samantha who is out of view on the right. Rupert and Samantha had been sleeping together when Samantha went into attack mode for some reason. After taking this photo, I broke up this confrontation and moved Rupert into another location. 5:30pm, Monday the 25th of March, 2019.
My two flashes put in some work! Also, a stupid little rattlesnake scared the bageezus out of me. To be fair, I probably scared it quite a bit as well. Cheers.
