We're in the middle of nowhere.
So we're on the way to the south of France and our first stop off is a lovely Chateau near Reims.
What we didn't bargain for was that the hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere and the snow is pretty deep round these parts. Our first approach nearly got our car stuck in snow, and I had to reverse out of snow drifts back onto proper roads. Not that they're that proper... they're covered in ice and when I brake, things don't really stop moving.
Second attempt down a different route and the snow was passable.
I so hope it doesn’t snow tonight or we're in trouble...
Gosh.
Lovely Chateau though... :-)

Secret #1 - I spent the majority of my late childhood and teenage years scared of being alone in the dark in certain areas of our house. As soon as I moved out of that house, it wasn't a problem anymore...

We found this in Pauline's Antique store on Park. They now sit on top of my monitor at work, greeting everyone who enters my cube.
Picture taken with a GoPro Hero HD, lifted by a kite. I love the low weight and wide angle lens of this camera. I'm less enthusiastic about the image quality, but you can't have everything and post processing usually does bring some improvements. All in all, pretty good value for money.

What are they scared of?
I'm not sure what to catagorize these last few "creations." they are not part of my art journal, yet they are therapeutic. Perhaps I'll add a new set: Miscellaneous. IDK... Still playing with the ink...

And I don't mean scared in the way of, "My beastial nature is too much so I have to forever walk a lonely path". Wolverine is "piss in your pants there's a monster hiding under the bed waiting to eat me and I'm totally helpless" scared.
Whedon gets points from me for making Wolverine this kind of scared. You rarely get to see him that way. Normally he's too busy being a badass or striking the angry pose to bother showing fear.
The following is taken from John Cassaday's awesome cover artwork for an upcoming Astonishing X-Men cover. He gets all the creative points. I merely rearranged it and added perspective with well placed blurring so as to have a neat looking desktop for a few weeks. This is usually the time it takes for me to get bored with the image and move along.
"Torn", the current arc on Astonishing X-Men is slow in coming, we're talking Planetary slow(this began around 1999 and is currently on issue 25) or mountains crumbling into the sea slow, but it is not lacking in amusement. The latest Big Bad's being what I think is the new Hellfire Club featuring Xavier's evil twin sister Cassandra Nova, Danger, the classic Sebastian Shaw, the treacherous Emma Frost and several others who have chosen not named themselves yet.
It's times like these when I appreciate the graphic novel form. One complete story in your hands with only your own laziness in the way of finishing it.

The youngest got so scared as I was lifting the cam to take their pic-The middle one got conserned about her ittle sister-while the oldest one (Wearing Henna tattoos for the occation) was to proud to let anything ruin her moment! - Too funny!
The mother can be seen smiling in the background.
