Thanks to all who visit, look at my photos and perhaps "favourite" them. I really, really appreciate a comment, good or bad, about my photos. If you have a tip for making a particular scene better then by all means make that comment. Just say 'Hi' to let me know you were here, even. I'm not thin-skinned and I certainly won't start a war of words. Again, thank you for dropping by.
Suzanne and I met in the desert southwest 46 years ago. We've come home.

We talk a big game about green garlic pesto, but the king of pestos at Maple Hoo is the scape version. And knowing this was on the menu tonight was what kept us both afloat at work today.
Just a quick, lazy shot while cooking dinner: scapes (from the garden) and leeks (from the store) slowly simmering in butter.
My neighbor is this wonderful old Cuban man who grows an amazing garden in his little patch of backyard paradise. His crop of garlic scapes were particularly nice this year. A great subject to try out my "new" RB67.
It's been a few months, so I was due to make more pasta (I meant to do it at least once a month this year! I'm such a failure!!). This is one I've been looking forward to since cracking the mystery of the pasta machine: lemon and black pepper fettuccine, served with a lemony scape cream sauce and a bit of chicken. This drew the highest praise imaginable, when Pookie took a bite and declared, "I could have expected this from any restaurant we went to in Florence."
