I'm a taking a lesson form Andrew on this set and have scanned several of the family slides, most of which were taken of or by my father (many are both with the timer). I've applied my processing techniques to enhance the appearance, but please remember these are well used slides and do show the wear of the years. Enjoy

PARWAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan – U.S. Army Sgt. Robert Streeter of Newton Iowa, and Soldier with Troop B, 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry Regiment, Task Force Redhorse, scans a nearby hilltop during a search of the Qual-e Jala village, here Feb. 21. ANA soldiers, Afghan National Police and other assets partnered with Troop B to search the village of Qual-e Jala for targeted individuals in order to ‘clear, hold, build’ Koh-e Safi District. While searching the village, the Troop B Soldiers and their partners killed one known insurgent, detained four others and also found assorted weapons which they gathered and destroyed. Task Force Redhorse is a part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, also known as Task Force Red Bulls, and maintains security throughout Parwan Province. Rather soft lighting at Totton on a pair of Class 442 EMUs working the 13:30 Waterloo to Weymouth service on 16th September 1988.
I took this photo in May 1991 when this bus along with many others was pressed into service due to the collapse of a local operator,it was mostly on school runs but as can be seen it did some service work,it worked from mid May till the school holidays in July so it was probably the last work it did,also in the photo which was taken at Dumfries depot is a Fife Leyland which was drafted in as well.
