I did a wefted reroot for WarmLeatherette, and trimed the hair so she wasn't tripping over it. Wefts are a little tricky to finish so that you don't see the "weft"; sewn bit thruogh the hair, mohair wefts are easier but this tuned out OK. :)
My Kenner was getting a bit of scalp goop build up so I removed the bits that were getting in the way, took some photos for reference!
Nothing particularly drastic, just levelled it off so it looks better unless you're really close up!
As a rule I don't really do much to my Kenner, because she's a 50 year old gal and I don't mind if she shows her age (plus I'm not really an expert!!) but this was getting a little too big :)
Morgan..just a few more rows...The goal is to have this done tomorrow night for ya! :) Then you can decide whether or not you want her lips the color they are (or lighter) and I can glue her scalp back on and put her together. YAY!

It is not for this girl, but that one was the only blybe fp I had around...
Anyway, I've been doing this this afternoon. Plug by plug, it was a lot of fun! I have to work on my technique, anyway, and fill a spot. And buy a smaller needle! I like how it came out.
I'm expecting another blybe to custom, and she will be something like Rotten Cotton Candy... Still thinking on it!
I found out i reroot better left to right. ie. new plug to right.
I'm right-handed.
try it out, you may find a preference.
No makeup, no scalp. Some yellowing, though I didn't really try around her mouth and nose, since I didn't want to grind them down to nubs. Eye mech in near-perfect condition -- all chips are clean and clear except for one orange chip that has started to go. All eyelashes present. On a Takara body that's been modified to fit, although in these photographs the head is just set on the neck, not secured, so it looks like she's got a bit of the wonk.
