I want to talk about my experiences. I’ve had psoriasis flares up every few years throughout my life but they aren’t very frequent or even super bad. i had really a lot of psoriasis on my scalp. it was really terrible. i used everything from apple cider to light therapies. But the past year and a half my psoriasis has flared up with a vengeance! I’ve tried Humira and it worked for a month or so then totally just seemed irrelevant! It was even making me somewhat sick and my injections were giving me welps, so I just stopped getting my prescriptions. I stopped smoking and started using coconut oil religiously and it seemed to help on my scalp psoriasis. Just try it and avoid the chemical shampoos and soaps. we lose just our time, money and energy. I bought this scalp and it has arrived very discoloured on top- it has a rather nasty browny yellowy hue in places. These photos were taken in the dim light of my bedroom on my mobile camera, and the colour difference is even more noticeable in daylight.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can attempt to remedy or make the colour look a little less ghastly?
The Gorilla glue that was used to hold it down turned dark brown and very icky

Noah brought home a note from school today informing us that a case of head lice was discovered in his classroom. YUCK! Noah's not complaining of itching, and we couldn't find anything on his head, so I think we're okay. For now at least.
Between Caden's never-ending stomach bug and this lice scare, I'm ready to put a big tent around the house and fumigate!

The tears in this image were repaired by scanning, clipping each fragment to its own layer, then using WinImages geometric layer mode to non-destructively rotate the layers into the master so that they all aligned. Then the usual process of artifact cleanup was undertaken. The backdrop was hosed, so she was lifted off by clipping, the backdrop rebuilt, then she was re-composited as a layer on top of the new backdrop.

Hair is not too bad condition wise... just needs a good treatment and a bit of re-thatching.
On the inside it's a totally different story. LOTS of plugs to secure.. lots of glue in there from a previous attempt to fix her... and the worst part... the scalp flanges have been cut all the way around. There barely enough to fit over the hard cap.
It's going to make it hard to get a good fit but hopefully it will look fine once her hair is down.
Getting this scalp for Christmas from the hubs! It was created by Oobie doll with alpaca. I am so excited to play with it! :D

Somebody is trying on a new scalp! I love this Cassis hair on her...
and it needed a head to rest on since my Cassis turned into a bobbed Amaryllis
a while ago. It's a wonder my girls don't need counseling for an identity crisis...

These two scalpers were involved in a territorial dispute. I tried to capture them insulting each other without getting too close, but the sound on them is not great. But then lo! A family comes along and mom makes a stunning observation.
If your from the area I'm sure you've seen the sign for Pritt's off Rt.56 when your just leaving Johnstown. If you turn in and stay on Scalp Ave, stop in at the Mine's Memorial and you'll see this shot looking up the hill.

once upon a time I found my Pullip on the floor with her head in pieces. I took that opportunity and covered the top with some stretchy lace, hot gluing in on the underside and adding some stick on velcro on both pieces to hold in in place. Now when I put wigs on her I can pin them in place (sort of like using a hat pin) and this keeps them in place
