Except for the tracked sidewalk snow plow which is 3 studs wide, all the other vehicles are 6 studs wide body, with 5 studs wide cabin. We received a lot of snow this winter, and this is what inspired me to build a fleet of snow removal equipment to clear the roads, apron, taxiways and the landing strip of the airbase. I also wish to pay tribute to our snow removal teams that work in harsh conditions, day and night to clear roads and parking lots so the rest of us can go about their daily business. The "yellow" fleet is made up of two tracked walk way snow plows, two dumper plow trucks, one salter-plow truck, two loaders, two dusters and one blower.

I was inspired heavily by FiddleOak for this image who you can find here: www.flickr.com/photos/fiddleoak/
He has some fantastic work, and I enjoyed playing with this style.

Skógafoss is huge. My tall 6'11"; friend is, for once, tiny. And drenched.
The water plunges from a height of a 14 storey building (60m) to a deafening roar. My phone was getting sprayed with mist a hundred feet away.
I have a diecast model of a 1946 Ambulance that would work well in a scene, but there wasn't a stretcher included with the model. Hmmmm, why not make one, I thought.
In my "parts" box I found some left over brass window frames that had potential for the stretcher's base. And then there was the trusty aluminum tubing that could stand in for the detailing.
It was a plan.
About 10 hours later, there was a little stretcher on my work mat.
Gotta love the web for photo references!

I've been busy trying to make a King Leman Russ for my non-existent guard army.
It's been going well.

N scale engine house. This is a Greenmax kit that I just completed. It will probably go on eBay since I have no room for it on the layout. I could probably squeeze it into the Port Carbon yard but it wouldn't look right since the the chemical company at the edge of the yards uses the same sawtooth walls.

All scales are now shaped, head base is collapsed, and shaping will start soon. I only need to fold the dorsal spines, and then the wiring and glueing shall commence :P

Found at Wazee Lake Recreation Area in west central Wisconsin. Jackson County, Wisconsin, USA.
Found on oak sapling in oak/pine barrens habitat. There are a few oak saplings at this site infested with these scales.
Not familiar with the amount of damage these scales do. Could all that damage on the branch be due to this single scale? Or maybe some of the damage is from secondary fungal infection (see this page for more info)?
