#scale Looking at a Trilobite fossil with a USB microscope feeding images onto a desktop VDU seems to say something about scale more than perhaps the microscope's magnifying powers do.
Working on a Steampunk hallway and, this is the first item.
It's a homemade chandelier from parts of a bicycle, scale, subwoofer, record player and a computer.

Still more work to be done, but I built this 1/200 scale model of the "Smit Rotterdam" and added a harbor area on to my layout.
As part of our #scaleupyourcareer campaign job seekers were invited to register for our free jobs fair event to kick start scaling up their careers.
The model is big enough to provide an intersting sense of perspective when viewed close up. Also, the bridge.

Cinq acteurs, une ville. Cinq scènes, des échelles parallèles. Cinq tons, une ambiance. Tout est affaire de proportions ! Perdus dans le brouhaha de la ville, les spectateurs suivent cinq acteurs-chanteurs pour un récital composé de morceaux de musique pop, à travers un dédale de rues, en passant par des arrêts de bus, des passages souterrains, des corridors... Une parenthèse musicale pour prendre la mesure de la ville, tout d'un coup extraordinairement vivante.
Production PLACCC Festival, Budapest (Hongrie) - première festival PLACCC 2011 - avec le soutien du Hungarian National Cultural Foundation et de SÍN Nonprofit Ltd. 1/12th scale blanket chest about 4 inches long. I made this as an exchange gift for the Ontario Miniatures Gathering in April 2010.
Walnut stain and beeswax finish. The top is hinged and opens.

Simple scales and staple foods are the norm in the markets of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The area of mud trails and jungle is set aside for tribal people groups by the government of Bangladesh.
