Note the size of the car compared to the truck. Then note the size of the truck to the surroundings.

I'm not referring to the scale of the Joshua tree relative to the big boulder. I'm referring to the scale of the climbers on top of the boulder. You can really tell now that the Joshua tree is really short compared to the boulder beside it. ;-)

This is a work in progress shot. My goal is to not be able to see the black background but just have light gently illuminating the subject but I am a long way off from achieving that at the moment so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

These scales were a wedding present to me in 1982 (showing my age!) and even though I got rid of my husband (not literally), I kept hold of the scales...!

I have read a whole article this week on the 'beauty of shooting in RAW' in Digital Camera magazine and have practised some suggested adjustments on this image.

I didn't notice the large exit holes on both of these scale on Acacia melanoxylon, until I could see more clearly on the computer. I'm not really sure where these fit, so I'll stay safe with Coccoidea.

Even though I prefer to take my street photos in black and white (when shooting), it's hard to resist the temptation of colour when the locations are picturesque and sunny. Here, the sun wasn't exactly out, but I still chose to switch my image profile setting between black & white and colour as I went along. Luckily, the right setting was ready when this scene came into view. Without colour, the photo would have been much less interesting...

Over the past decade, Axial has been synonymous with crawlers and the scale trail community for creating vehicles that inspires endless adventure and creative freedom. Something interesting started to evolve and a trend began to appear, 4WD straight axle Monster Jam® Trucks. What better to build upon that trend than to offer one of the most striking trucks within Monster Jam®, MAX-D™. Since 2003, MAX-D™ has won 11 Monster Jam World Finals® championships and brought crowds to their feet with daredevil maneuvers and non-stop excitement. Amongst a lineup of Monster Jam® Trucks, the low slung futuristic SUV body with yellow, red and silver paint scheme combined with chrome spikes is an instant grabber. Axial went all out when designing the chassis and roll cage for the SMT10™ MAX-D™ Monster Jam® Truck. Very similar to modern era full size monster trucks, this chassis was developed for maximum strength and an extremely detailed appearance.

1/76 scale Kingsway Models card kit of Isleworth trolleybus depot. The model has been built into a small diorama with road surface and paving and cosmetic overhead wiring.

I don't claim complete authenticity!

It is constructed by using a hoot glue gun to join the running wires to the span wires.
